Has Anyone Had Their "colours" Done?

So I think both LL and I agree you're a warm. In that case, you would be Spring as I suggested in my PM, not summer. Summer is cool, you are definitely warm. I just asked for deep winter swatches for christmas. Let's see if anyone in my family can figure out how to get those

    Hook Up

So I don't think you can "make" any relationship turn into anything. There are times when hook ups lead to friendships or relationships, and there are times when they lead to nothing more. Either there's chemistry and compatibility there, or there's not and you can't fix that. If you are able, take the hook up for what it's worth and be satisfied. If you can't, then just say that straight out and be prepared that may well be the end of the relationship--or it could lead to something else. Good luck!

    Buffet By The Weight.

I did not know that! They actually have some good lean meat options we could do if we were in a hurry. Thanks for sharing that!
  6. I want to echo what butter said. As a recap of the book, I've posted an article under the research section that encapsulates the author's thinking. (Gary Taubes). And I can encapsulate it even further. In the presence of insulin, your body burns carbs for energy. In the absence of insulin, it burns fat for energy. Therefore the fewer carbs you eat, the more fat you burn. I appreciate your not wanting to be on a diet. I wonder if it would be easier for you to time-limit this and say that you might watch your carbs until you get to goal, and then slowly try to re-introduce them? That way, it's not for life, it's just for right now. Just a thought
  7. Exactly the same for me. I too considered the band several years ago and then decided to keep trying and of course, ended up heavier than before. Tell you what, the universe unfolds the way it should.
  8. Congratulations!! Although if you really loved me, you'd have made me a protein shake
  9. What's really weird is that after getting rid of all those clothes and telling myself not to go crazy with clothes shopping again? I have to go clothes shopping. I have one pair of black pants left and this weekend, I need to get a couple more. Ugh.

    Stelara~ for psoriasis

I haven't taken Stelara, but I do take Enbrel (Same family of drugs) and I had to stop several weeks before the surgery so to recover without an immunosuppressant in my body. You should call your doc and ask how soon before they want you off, and also when you can re-start. I was asked to wait to re-start until all incisions were well healed, which was 3 weeks after surgery.

    Help?

Wondering if you are drinking the Water too fast? Take a small sip and put it away for a couple of minutes and try again. If you can get Protein, that's fine, but hydration is much more important. If you keep throwing up even with small sips call your doctor, okay? don't try to struggle through. They will be able to help.

    Need To Say....

I have to say, I love reading about all success stories, no matter how we get there. Your thoughts about "a tool" are an interesting perspective. I need to think about that some more. Thanks for sharing.

    "I'm praying for you!"

Your point about "sacrifice" is an interesting one. It does put a different perspective on it. Nonetheless I honestly think people mean well when they say it and haven't given it the thought they should. For me. I am a devout agnostic. It's possible there's a God out there that responds to prayers and I guess I'll take the positivity in every form that it comes. This is one of those instances I'm willing to look beyond the words and into the intentions of the person and call it a day.

What does arthritis of the ime entail? Do you have diminished cartilage? I guess this explains some of you back and neck issues all right. Quite a lot to absorb at once eh?

    Enabling

I had to get rid of my bigger cooking pots. I bought a very small crockpot and a 2 qt pressure cooker and even though they are tiny compared to the stuff from before, they still make too much food. I have to cook half a lb of meat at a time. That makes us four servings (my husband is also sleeved). Alb of meat is way too much for us to cook at once. Similarly 2-3 chicken thighs at a time do the trick for us. It's a really difficult adjustment.
  18. I weigh daily and I very rarely lose a lb in a day. Usually it's .2 .4, and it slowly adds up to a 1.5 a week or so.

MTD:36.5 but I worked out like a mad woman. 2.5 hours of it, mainly upper body. Doing what, you ask me? Trying on clothes to clean out my closet. No I didn't make it up. True story. Like, my arms hurt!
  23. Lowest in 25-30 years! What a great achievement. Good for you!
