How many carbs are you eating per day?
gamergirl replied to kentx05's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I do the same thing. I get my pressure cooker and crockpot going at the same time on the weekends and it feeds us for several days. This weekend I made beef stew, chicken and veg, and chicken meatballs with some sauce. I sometimes add steamed veg and we have a complete dinner. -
Dallas, Texas Sleevers! !

I think there's a singles section on the website somewhere. Perhaps under special interest groups? -
What works for do when I drift is to change up tasks. Either walk, go clean the kitchen counter, tweeze my eyebrows some short distraction. Also suggest fixing a hot drink and sipping on it instead of eating.

MTD 39.5. And 90s plank I'm a little torn. On the one hand, I'm not going to make my goal of 60 miles. On the other hand, last month I had 3-4 really bad flare ups to make that goal and this month I haven't had them because I'm not pushing myself. Guess I will try to do what I can and know at it's more than before so maybe it's okay.

That was going to be my question--where's the bacon?? -

I really want to know where skinny people put all these calories. You look at us and realize how little we need to actually survive. How is everyone not getting super fat with normal portion sizes? Human bodies are confusing things. I asked my husband that he said, well, we've been living off the fat we accumulated for the last 4 months. I'm glad we have been but at the same time, what a gross thought! -

I have a feeling as soon as I put two tsp of flan, I will be over my calories immediately -

hmm...were you told not to have it pureed? I know we can't have raw veggies for a while but I don't really know about cooked, pureed, celery. -

how do you make the brussel sprouts? my husband likes them but I've never really cooked them. We don't have them in India, and you think I'd have tried them by now! -
I'm okay with him making money. I mean, it's free to us, the guy has to get something out of it, right? I like when people make money and are profitable. It means they will be motivated to create a great site, and keep it up, which is good for all of us. He deserves every penny, IMHO. But to be honest, I doubt anyone expected the drama and turmoil the merging of sites has created. I think we've all taken it to a new low. Getting better every day though

I don't think that's a party pooper, I think it's very smart. You need to take care of yourself this early on and you're doing the right thing. I love that you're still going to let others enjoy your dinner rolls. Very thoughtful. -

the shake's a good idea. Will it fill you up too much though? I hadn't thought of how much puree there is in the typical t'giving lunch. -

Or you could just let the dog do it. He appears to have a handle on it so far.

11 Months Post Op Vsg Not Losing Weight
gamergirl replied to pinchyc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Can you be more specific? What are your total calories at? How much protein/carbs/fat? Are you logging everything you eat into something like myfitness pal? what exactly does your workout include? With those details I'm sure people can give you more specific advice. -
Okay you guys know I love you all right? But I think it's time to stop beating up on that poor girl. She was confused. It happens. There's no shame in being confused/wrong. She can read this thread. And if it were me reading it, I would find it extremely hurtful that a bunch of people were picking on me. <3

Might be better off just making some taco meat at home, putting some sour cream and salsa or the side of it and chowing down. As Laura said, the lettuce and tomatoes will be a problem this early out. Another option is to get their pintos and cheese, and ask for taco meat only to go. No tortilla/she'll/veggies.

I'm Overweight! Let's Celebrate!
gamergirl replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My next goal is to be under 175 because the last time I was that weight was 19 years ago! It's hard to believe that is achievable. I'm not sure I'll completely believe it until it happens. -
What's The Process For Qualifying With Doctor In Mexico?
gamergirl replied to Mchelle1234's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would suggest you email the doctor from their website, tell them your height and weight and let them tell you what to do. I contacted our doctor in Mexico (Dr. Alvarez) directly. -
are you getting some of your energy back Jane? I know that was wearing you out, literally and figuratively!
