My Lunch: A Pictorial Attempt To Show You Life Will Be Normal
gamergirl replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No I totally understand. I tried to take two days off but was too chicken! Maybe you should plan for a day or two off a month from constant tracking and make a deal with yourself. You get two days off IF you promise to start tracking after they are over. You know your friend lost muscle not fat if she didn't eat her protein and that will make regain easier. Maybe try one new recipe a week to introduce some change? That's how I stay focused. It's still ground beef but today it's Indian! Last week it was African! sameness would make me want to cheat as well. I wish you loved close by. I'd make you something yummy and sleeve friendly. -
My son's mouth and smile are exactly like his birth dad's. His fingers are just like his birth dad, based on the pictures I see. He had a gap between his front two teeth, just like his birth mom. I'm so grateful to have him, but his birth parents sure missed out on a beautiful child. I wonder if he will ever meet them and how he will feel about it. For his sake, I hope they receive him with love if it ever happens. Scares me what lies ahead f him sometimes.

The Food Police Were Out In Full Force Yesterday!

Have you looked up the salads at chilis, pF Chang, California pizza kitchen, macaroni grill etc? The salads all have 1200 calories or more. Almost nothing in those places is low enough for one person to eat for one meal. When I go out with friends who think "they'll just have a salad" I want to scream at them to look them up for calories, and order some nice salmon and broccoli already! So far I have (wo)manfully restrained myself. We truly live in an obesogenic environment in this country. -

Does it help to get good Protein Snacks that you like? I know if I have deli ham and cheese, or small cups of cottage cheese, small ready made things like that, I reach for those faster than I can think up something I shouldn't be eating. By the time I finish those,I am too full to have anything anyway. You're doing well. Don't fret. You'll get back on track. -

Yay! We still love it. Although last time, I picked off the toppings and threw away the crust. Imagine that! Would never have done that in the old days! -

Even if she kept her mouth shut I'd probably hate her just for being able to eat and stay skinny -

That's what Lucky T's recipe called for. We put in a few drops of the oil into room temp coconut oil (don't melt it, I needs to be solid before you can whip air into it) and then just let the mixer beat it up until it was creamy and a little airy. Another good thing about the essential oil? My dog doesn't lick it When I had just coconut oil, she was after me with a vengeance, licking every exposed bit of ankle. Crazy dog -

Oh I don't think we are assuming that. The thread just took off in a different direction. All the comments about the crap we see people eating weren't about you at all Many of us get easily distracted and one topic leads to another and before you know it, so domes posting pictures of food porn -

Can The Sleeve End A Lifetime Of Yo-Yo?
gamergirl replied to tiredmama's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Almost everyone who posts ends up sharing their yo yo stories. A lot of people will tell you that it was never hard for them to lose the weight, the problem is they kept putting it back on. For most people that's what the sleeve seems to have helped. -

Redbean where's the picture of your food? -
Good for you. I hope I get to that happy place mentally. That seems to be as hard as getting there physically for some if us. You look very proportionate and curvy. Very nice look.

Keeping Skin Moisturized?
gamergirl replied to gastricsleever's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
It's so good! I thought it would be really greasy but it's not. It dissolves into your skin and it feels so soft. I've made everyone in the house "feel my skin! See how soft it is!" and I like knowing there's nothing bad for my skin in there. I have a lot of lotions, but not one that feels this good. -

I put mine in a mason jar too! I bought these little lids for them that are regular screw tops so I don't drop the jar trying to open it. I haven't tried wen but I love the conditioning shampoo things. I bought a rip off of wen called One, haha and loved it. My hair is falling in clumps. One of the other ladies recommended using arnica. When I googled it, they said to put the arnica tincture in---you guessed it, coconut oil and using it as a massage for your hair/head at night, and washing it the next day. I grew up in India where we use a lot of coconut oil for hair, skin, etc and eat fresh coconut daily. You think I would have remembered this! So I might try the arnica coconut oil thing and see if it helps. Can't hurt for sure! -
Omg. I Truly Am A Shopaholic!

Woo hoo! I went shopping yesterday. Three pairs of black pants in a size TWELVE! Three bras and 6 panties because it was a buy 3 get three free deal, two shapers in a large. Oh I love those pants because did I mention they were a size 12? I bought cheapo undies though, saving the VS bucks for later, mainly because I have to spend some on work clothes. Boy I bet you had fun at VS!
