    Yogurt 6 Days Post Op

It sounds perfect to me. At first, we can't tell what's too much because the tummy is still numb. As long as you measure your food and it's somewhere between 1/4-1/2 c, no need to worry. Enjoy it!
  2. My butt is now in size 12 pants. I want everyone to know that. :)

  3. I actually have made tipping harder on myself since sleeving because I don't think it's the waiter's fault that my husband and I share an entree. So I invariably end up tipping as I would have if we'd had two meals. But then again, we had lunch for $4 a the food court for both of us so....

    What Are You Reading?

I found Gone Girl quite intriguing. I read Dark Places after that, hoping to find it equally good, and I don't know, it just seemed like murder and mayhem and unhappiness just to make a story out of it. Not sure if I'll read any more of her stuff or not. Stephen Frey looks intriguing I might try one.

30-Day Plank Challenge: Who Is In For This One?

And here is why we plank:
  8. We went to chili's last night. They have their "light menu".....everything is 675 calories or less. Bloody hell 675 calories?!?! That's light? I guess it is compared to the rest of their stuff. It still blows my mind to realize that is what I eat ALL DAY, those 675 calories.

    December Fitness Challenge

I'm about to post a plank challenge since several of us want to do it. gimme a sec
  11. If you would like the recipe I would be happy to post it....Takes only a few minutes prep and 30 min to cook the berries and it tastes heavenly...Eat a Protein along side it and you have a complete meal... yess!! RJ that sounds great. Def post it here. Also...want to be a guest blogger on my site? I would love to post your recipe along with that picture you sent us. Very mouth-watering! I do that blog for free, not for pay, just as a service and a way to share my love for healthy food with other sleevers/wls folks.
  12. Have you checked out the recipe sharing section of the forum? I love that section, I post ENTIRELY too many recipes in there I also post them on my blog, www.sleevers.wordpress.com

    Extremely Discouraged.....

I had started a post a while back to help people see that they were actually more sucessful than we think. I hope you will take a look at it, and see how much of your excess weight you've lost. http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/287666-you-may-be-more-successful-than-you-think/page-11?hl=%2Bmore+%2Bsuccessful#entry3250912 Btw, just for comparison, I lost less than 8 lbs on a two week post-op, so your 14 lbs sounds like a dream to me. Yet, 4 months into it, I'm at about 56% of my excess weight lost. So don't fret yet. Also if you search the board for "stalls" you will see the first month or two are the most frustrating due to stalls.
  14. Are you talking about having recipes? I'm not sure I understand what you mean when you say"guest place"?

    Considering Liposuction

Six months is a long time in the life of a sleeved person. You don't know what your body will have done by then. My butt, stomach and thighs were the biggest part of me. I thought they'd take forever to get thinner. In fact, that's where I lost the fastest. I'd strongly advise you to be patient. You won't love your new body at every stage of weight loss because we all lose unevenly, we get jiggly, we look like "marshmallows on two toothpicks" to quote Marfar here--it takes a bit.
  16. Yes with pictures Of the pie in that thread, because we haven't had major drama here for a few days, lol! Give the pie away to someone, girl. Your weight loss on MFP always inspires the rest of us.
  17. I'm curious about these regains. Did they regain everything they'd lost or just some of the weight?

I will also tell you that the post op was MUCH harder for me than the pre-op so get yourself ready. Cheating post op could kill you . It's weeks of no food--depending on your doc's protocol. We had 3 weeks of liquids only afterwards. There's some pain and discomfort, you're learning to drink slowly, you're sick of Protein shakes but not allowed food---I was literally fantasizing about a grilled cheese sandwich for days. It's not easy. The pre-op discipline you learn will stand you in good stead. This is the start of a wonderful new life for you. Maybe try to focus on positive outcomes, visualize a new future for yourself, and rather than focusing on food, focus on how good it will feel in just a few more weeks? There are a lot of before and after pics here and those always inspire me.
  19. You know I've never even heard of the wildflower festival. What is it?
  20. I don't know, a quiche sounds good. Good for you, easy to eat, and you'll probably have leftovers for work tomorrow. Post a pic for sure I love that people are posting pics of their food. Gives all of us creative ideas so we don't get stuck in a rut. Looking forward to more pictures celebrating all the wonderful, healthy, sleeve-friendly things we get to enjoy.
  21. Hah! You know something interesting? Your real lunch looked a lot more appetizing to me than the pancakes. Our taste buds have changed haven't they? Your real lunch sounds delicious.
  22. I routinely annoy my family by looking up a restaurants menu and then looking up their calories in MFP and then deciding what we're eating. I've been doing this for years. When everyone is hungry and just wants to eat, and Mom has to do this long drawn out thing...I'm not always popular but by golly I'm right!

    True Life Story

I've told him they when he's 18, if he wants to meet them, and they want to as well, that I will be there with him to help with everything. I've told him they they may not want to, and intellectually he gets it, but I do t think any child is ever ready to be turned away--not any adult. That's the part I worry about. Well it will all unfold the way it should I suppose. He's only 13 now so we have a few more years before all of it happens
