Oh the chicken mushroom is such a nice rich flavor! But if you do butternut, I'm sure that too would taste delicious with chicken. Enjoy! -

Well this is what I had. Ham with maple orange glaze, sweet potatoes in orange cups (thanks Lynda!), asparagus with hollandaise, mushrooms with garlic butter, and a sliver of the best pumpkins pie with the flakiest crust I've ever had outside of a French bakery. My husband's creation of course. Below is my plate, I finished all the ham and mushrooms but left 1asparagus and most of the sweet potato. Too full. -
As anyone tried probiotics and had any success with them? I'm still struggling to get in my protein most days so there's not much room for veggies. I take fiber gummies but they're not doing the trick. In a pinch I do some magnesium caplets but wondering if probiotics are working for anyone?

My husband decided to take over the cooking (yay!) Typically I do the daily, quick cooking and he does the special occasion, lavish cooking. We are having ham with a maple orange glaze, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, pumpkin pie, mushrooms with garlic and something and I'm thinking of making the sweet potatoes in oranges that Lynda posted about. I also have a tofu-chocolate pie recipe I want to try (I know, sounds disgusting right?) WIll report on it afterwards. -
Probiotics For Constipation?
gamergirl replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have to say, the Align has solved all issues for me. I've been out of it for a few days and the difference is obvious. I hope it works for someone else who tries it too. I might try the pearl ones, but what I like about Align is that it doesn't require refrigeration which allows me to put it in my pill box with my other vitamins and ensure it gets taken. -

Saw this on FB today (thanks donrodolfo!) and thought it was very clever. -
An atheist's pov vs a christain point of view

I love the post above. I actually use the phrase "media agnostic" quite often. We create predictive models that help clients figure out where to put their media dollars to get the best results. While a lot of companies are affected by client decisions, (eg large ad agencies make money when people buy TV ads), we don't care where the client puts their money, we just try to help them make a data-driven decision. So Media Agnostic, as in, we are not partial to any one particular medium, is quite common. I suppose that's another way of saying "we don't believe one medium is inherently superior to another"...which is the same thing as religion agnostic, yes? Very interesting point of view. -
Alternatives to Protein Shakes: Full liquids, Soft foods
gamergirl replied to gamergirl's topic in Soft (stage 3)
Do any of you have other good recipes you'd like to add to this thread? Full liquids, soft foods, purees, etc? -
Yes I would. I was going to ask you about those. I suspect they show up as lean body mass in the fat analysis? I don't really know. But we could start there or you could subtracts rom your goal weight maybe.

My Lunch: A Pictorial Attempt To Show You Life Will Be Normal

Our very simple meal tonight. Aidell's chicken habanero sausage and fresh green beans cooked for 3 mins in a pressure cooker. Makes the sausage so tender. -
44 miles MTD, 6 more to go.

I think any sharp pain is definitely worth looking into, just to ease your mind. Given the holiday etc., don't delay placing a call to the nurse, just to be cautious. I wouldn't worry because I think it could well be gas so I'd start with Gas-x, and a heating pad on the location of the pain and while you wait for them to return your call.

Sugar: I am so miserable and it makes me happy!
gamergirl posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I know, sounds weird right?? But do you know why I'm miserable? I ate dessert at our christmas/birthday dinner and although I ate only 4 spoons of mousse, it made me sooooooo sick! first real helping of dessert since the surgery and I swear I thought I was going to hurl, sweat, and pass out and the only issue was which was going to happen first. A little walk around the restaurant cured me but I was so so so glad that my sleeve didn't love the sugar. Other things she hates: Bread, potatoes and dry chicken, all of which go thunk really hard. All else has been easily tolerated. I know this won't always be true and at some point, if I keep "trying" my sleeve might adjust to the sugar but today, I'm thankful it didn't. Part of me kept hoping I'd really have a horrible reaction so I'd associate sugar with bad outcomes, and the rest of my brain didn't want to ruin my son's birthday lunch. Also, as a carb addict, I know it's not that simple. I wish we always felt bad if we did bad things, but if that were true, I wouldn't have needed the sleeve, right? What does your sleeve hate? -

Want to know something sleeve healthy that meets my nutter butter craving? Syntrax peanut butter cookie shake with one tablespoon of real peanut butter. Soooo yummy and so nutter butter like, it's ridiculous. -
Current 189 CBF% 31 DBF% 25 At 25% bf, your gw should be 173, of which 43 will be fat pounds.
-
okay so at 30% body fat, assuming you maintain ALL your current lean mass, your GW should be 196 lbs. Of that, about 59 lbs will be fat at 25% bf, your gw would be 183 lbs, of which 46 lbs would be fat. Does that answer your question?

Yeah I'm having the same issue. I'm at 31%but I look more like the 35%. My husband is at 22%but looks. More like 25%. I wonder if it isn't the excess skin etc. I will do this for you as soon as I can.

So last month I did a 30-day plank Challenge. Didn't quite make it to 300s, but I did go from barely being able to plank for 20s to making it for 100s and I was happy with that. This month, I want to try an EASY beginner's ab crunch challenge. I'm attaching a calendar. All we have to do is follow the calendar and post our successes here. Who wants to join? Performing the basic crunchFollow these steps to perform crunches: Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart. Place your hands behind your head so your thumbs are behind your ears. Hold your elbows out to the sides but rounded slightly in. Tilt your chin slightly, leaving a few inches of space between your chin and your chest. Gently pull your abdominals inward. Curl up and forward so that your head, neck, and shoulder blades lift off the floor. Hold for a moment at the top of the movement and then lower slowly back down. Gym alternative: Ball crunchYou can use a large plastic exercise ball (sometimes called a physioball) as an alternative to the basic crunch described above. Follow these steps: Sit on a physioball and roll your torso down so that your back — from your shoulder blades down to your tailbone — is resting on the curve of the ball and your head, neck, and shoulders are above the ball. Your knees are bent, and your feet are planted on the floor, hip-width apart. Perform the same abdominal curling movement as you do for the basic crunch. You have to move slowly and keep your abdominal muscles fully engaged to keep yourself from wiggling around on the ball or rolling off of it.

Me too. Completely wasn't able to do anything on this front. Let's plan to try again for sure.

I'm thinking of doing pumpkin pie minus crust and substituting some stevia or agave for the sugar. -

Oh I love the sweet potatoes idea -
Anyone else who wants this, until I can get the calculator hosted (i.e., as soon as my lazy ass son wakes up), I need the following: 1. Current weight 2. Current body fat percentage 3. Desired body fat percentage
