    Any husband and wife sleevers?

Down 85 lbs in 7-8 months! That's fantastic. We're 12 days post-op and he is down 26 lbs and I'm down 21 so we're pretty happy so far.

    "Good" Fast Food?

I used to eat dunkin donuts flat bread sandwich very often. If you take off the top layer of bread, im sure it will be even better from a carb perspective. It's egg white, chopped veggies, and turkey sausage. Hard to go wrong with that

    "Good" Fast Food?

I don't know how much of this is WLS friendly but I had pinned this link a while back on the healthiest fast food choices http://www.familycircle.com/health/weight-loss/diet-tips/healthy-fast-food/

    Looking for vitamins

Our surgeon asked us to get gummy Vitamins, so we got vitafusion. Currently taking 2 gummy vites, 2 fish oil gummies, 1 b complex gummy, and I added a Fiber gummy. We're also meant to be taking co-q10 and Biotin but they aren't gummies and I'm not comfy swallowing them yet. Just ordered Bariatric Advantage calcium chews based on advice here. I lost a lot of hair with undiagnosed thyroid and the ONLY thing that worked for me was evening primrose oil. Those are horse pills, not sure when I can take again. Full time job over here, keeping up with these vities.

    No desire to eat

I read a post where someone was eating at 7 am - 11 am - 3 pm and -7 pm. We have adopted that by setting alarms and its going a lot better for us, because otherwise we too would forget to eat. Feel so much better too, staying nourished.

    Help with Starbucks?!

I may have to try it. Some of the airports I go through, the options are beer, wings, or hamburgers.
  7. Amazing! Congratulations. Tell us a little bit more about the shred?

    Software/website question for nutrition info

Yes, my fitness pal gives you the option to add your own recipes. I do that a lot.

    Help with Starbucks?!

Interestingly those "protein" boxes? Check out the carbs in that. Quite high. I've pored over the Starbucks menu heavily because often, when in traveling that's the only reliable meal source. But I'd accepted even way before the surgery, that I could never eat there. I used to have an iced grande soy latte, but on low carb, that's not practical. So I switched to an Americano with half the Water and a tiny bit of half n half. Full of taste and flavor, no calories.

    Bougie size

This is the stuff made with konjac flour that has nothing but Fiber in it, so I was hoping it would work. I'll wait..in in no hurry for accidents!

Speaking of which and sorry to hijack the thread ever so slightly, but can people eat shirataki post-op with no issues?

    Non believers

This evangelism and desire to convert thing was new for me. I don't even know if its possible for people to convert to being Hindus. I think you pretty much have to be born one. Same thing Muslims or Sikhs back home. When I got here, I was and looked fresh off the boat (figuratively), and a bunch of people wanted to be the first to convert me. Honestly it is SUCH a cultural faux pas where I come from. You would never tell a person of a different religion to convert. You might smirk and think you're much better off than them, but that's allowed

    Help with Starbucks?!

Yes they have Protein powder. They put it in their vivanos with starwberry, banana etc. it's still 300 calories for the smoothies,,it's about 20 gms of protein. Problem is, the fruits add a lot of sugar. Not all Starbucks make them (the airport ones don't for example) but most stand-alone stores do.

    Body Fat Percentage

My trainer did it with calipers, I have a scale that came pretty close to what he used to come up with, but nothing is as accurate as the water-weighing thing.

5'6" and weighed 225-235 surgery day?

This thread was very helpful. I''m 5'6 and was 230 at HW and 225 on DOS. Gives me a good feel for the range of what to expect.
  16. I buy the frozen bowls of them at costco, 12 to a pack and we steam them and sprinkle with salt and cayenne pepper. Nom nom nom. We used to eat them instead of popcorn while watching a movie, because they take a while to enjoy, and fewer calories and carbs than buttered popcorn. Can't wait to get to enjoy them again.
