  1. You may be right. It doesn't help that my husband who was sleeved at the same time is running around all day while I'm lying in bed like some wimpy GIRL! I hate feeling weak.
  2. Oh you posted a good side view! I was too chicken
  3. "You" look great at 150! How tall are you?
  4. Yeah! There's also cockeyed.com that I love.

    Roca Labs

Oh and if you see positive stories? Run a DNS search and see who owns the domain. And then see what dates most of them were posted. They'll all have started after a certain date. (When they hired a professional). From a professional's POV, I can tell you right now, these guys had to hire a reputation management company to seed the reviews with positives. That Wordpress site? Exactly what rep mgmt marketing companies do. And you'd only hire them if your organic search revealed TONs of posts about scams from simply entering the term roca labs. It's a way to fiddle with search results and tons of companies charge a lot of money for these services. You wouldn't pay it unless you had a lot of bad press. Trust me on this one, I do this for a living. I know what clients have to do if they have a bad product.

I recommend a good old fashioned google search to find tons of stories. Search the blogs if you can.

    Going Crackers?

They are foods that don't cause your pyloric valve to close, and so you can eat tons of them. When you eat dense Protein, the valve at the bottom of your stomach closes, and your stomach starts to digest the good, so you feel full. That's why we are to eat protein first. In contrast, if you have useless or refined carbs, like candy, sweets, cakes, donuts, popcorn, etc., those aren't dense like protein and you can eat a LOT of those foods and completely undermine your sleeve, because they slide on through to your intestines. Hence the term sliders. Worth researching so you know what to stay away from.
  10. Did you turn yours around? My side view was quite heinous!
  11. So which one did you like better? Yours or your surgeons?
  12. Don't you love how the heavier versions of us have no funny lumps and bumps in this software? I only WISH I looked as good as my before. But yes it did make me think maybe my goal of 145 is not low enough. Hmmm...

    Body Fat Percentage

Trust me I know exactly how you feel. I have to consult with my 23-year old son sometimes when I'm stuck. The last time he solved in 30 seconds something I had been wrestling with for two hour?s I seriously considered slapping him in the face before hugging him with pride.

    Body Fat Percentage

What I've decided to do is worry about consistency now and accuracy later. What I mean is that my scale may be inaccurate and I may have more or less fat than it reports. Lets say it's off by 5%. But as long as it is consistently off by 5%, then it's still good information for me to track trends. Later, when I'm closer to goal weight, then accuracy is going to be important, and at that point, I'll probably get a professional to calibrate me and compare that to my scale. This is to keep myself from obsessing, as you say. And because I'm a statistician so of course, I WOULD separate between consistency and accuracy because I'm geeky like that

    I love hot foods!

I'm Indian, so I know from spicy food . We started eating spicy on our Clear liquids. We'd mix spicy korean ramyun flavoring or taco seasoning or masala flavoring with our unjury chicken broth . We routinely put cholula sauce in our Soups. My husband just made tortilla Soup with ancho chiles in adobo sauce. Hasn't bothered us a bit.
  16. Well our surgeon said that initially they were advising people to do sugar free, but they found people recovering much better with a little sugar for energy and recovery. So might want to check in on that. In our case, I can take or leave the Popsicles, but they "trigger" my husband for sweets and then he ends up having 3-4 a day. So I'm going to be giving then away to the housekeeper on Monday for her kids I'm rambling but my point is, a little sugar immediately post-op may not be a bad thing--unless it triggers you for other sweet no nos.

    Autoimmune Issues and VSG?

I need some help/information please. I haven't taken meds for 3 weeks now due t the surgery. I have been doing GREAT so far, but seem to be deteriorating a bit over the last few days. Constantly light headed, exhausted, and need to lie down all the time. I have less energy at 14 days out than I did 2 days after being sleeved. My husband says this happened to me the last time I was off my RA meds. Do you think this is possible? Do you start to get light headed and tired if you go off the meds, or right before a flare up? I'm really worried today.
  18. You look amazing! Congratulations.
