    Preop Protein Nausea

Yes it's whey. Maybe time to try soy, or pea protein or something else?
  3. I have Well Fed too! I just made the olive oil mayo---and everyone hates it
  4. You really need to get to the doctor IMHO. You are also probably lacking electrolytes now due to dehydration will make you doubly nauseous. Please call the doc, and in the meantime, drink some G-2 or Pediacare to replace the electrolytes.

    Long term prognosis

Hi FYE, I have a doctorate in experimental psychology. I spent 12 years of my life as an academic (research scientist) writing articles like that one . Since then, I've moved into using Advanced statistics for marketing. Which means I've learned to look at statistical results and simplify them for my clients, but also to find the positive side of all statistics so their programs look good
  6. Today, I cooked dinner for 2.5 hours. I made chicken curry, lentils, cauliflower with peas, rice, and chapatis (freshly made Indian bread).. And I got to eat.....none of it. Hello Protein shake! Long time no see. Four hours to be exact. I'm spoiled. Since my husband and I got sleeved together, and since my 13-year old is easy to fix meals for, I haven't had to worry with fixing large meals for my family. Today with my dad visiting from India I cooked a proper meal. It's not even like I was hungry for it. It's just the PRINCIPLE of it! So I'm done whining but I will say....all those men and women who have been cooking for whole families while on pre-ops and post-op liquids? I salute you! You are models of giving and selflessness!
  7. I bet! We're really lucky to live in a time and place where this is possible aren't we? I hope we never lose sight of that.
  8. I would suggest not comparing yourself to others on this front. 13 lbs is 13 lbs so congratulations!

    HATE This

Life will be SO different in 2 weeks though. I've recovered from illnesses before. But this sleeve recovery is something all together different. Recovery is exponential, not linear, day by day. Two weeks in France in two weeks will be a delight. Sorry about the missed game
  10. No because Ms. Laura-Vern's article about chewing and spitting put the fear of god into me!
  11. Maybe I need to do that. My dad will be here for two weeks and next week I travel for work so i was going to cook like a mad woman this weekend so he and my husband would have food while I was gone.

    Hunger

For me, when I'm really hungry, I don't think about it, I just have to find something to eat. When I have head hunger, then I start to think, am I hungry? Do I want something? What do I want? Hmmm, how about a sandwich? No? Then Soup? No? So what sounds good? Maybe I shouldn't eat. But I think I'm hungry? In contrast when I'm hungry for real, it's like food. I need to eat something NOW. No debate, no questioning, no time spent debating this option or that, I need food now. I also feel light-headed and a bit nauseated when I'm really hungry. At three weeks post-op now, I haven't had the head hunger I had during pre-op and first week or post op. Now I feel shaky, weak, and nauseated when its time to eat. Don't know if that helps, it's difficult to articulate but the debate vs not is a pretty clear sign for me.
  13. There's not one close to me. Can you believe that?!
  14. She's pre-op though. She'd probably be dying on what you and I are eating these days
  15. I would suggest that you try to keep your calories between 800-1000 as you do this, and cut as much fat and carbs as possible. Enjoy!

    Almost passed out and hungry

I had the same symptoms, but without all your exercise. Honestly it sounds like a lot of exercise this early but what do I know? The surgeon told us to increase calories to 800 and increase carbs to about 50-60 and we've been MUCH better since then. I hope you feel better soon.
