Crab cakes as sliders?
gamergirl replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I forced myself to stop at One, because our doctor too said only eat 1/4to 1/2 cup at a time. I ate the second one 4 hours later, but I honestly felt no restriction with the first one and felt like I could have eaten more, but was not about to risk it. Only second day on soft foods. My husband and I are both finding that if we take a minute between bites we can eat without discomfort. Try to push that to 30 seconds or less between bites and ow! Ow! -
Unjury Chicken Soup vs. Regular broth with unflavored protein powder

Unjury.com or maybe amazon? I haven't looked in stores but I believe it's mainly online. -
I take leviothyroxin for the thyroid. I used to take 1500 mgs of EPO to keep my hair from falling out due to low thyroid. The difference in the shower is noticeable when I am and am not taking it

Does nobody else take EPO? I'd have thought with as many underactive thyroid a as we have on here, most of us would be on it.

Just realized that since his highest weight, my husband has lost an entire fricking bale of hay! This chart just blows my mind. I can't believe how much extra weight we were all subjecting our hips, knees, ankles and backs to. Yeah tell that to the haters! -

Please dont judge me but.....

It's possible you're now lactose intolerant. My shakes were mckinney nauseated so I took lactaid pills with them and that has really helped. May be worth trying that, or switching to soy-based for a bit. -

I'm waiting to hear from someone who lost an elephants weenie. -
So I'm traveling DFW-BOS today. First trip since sleeved, but the first of many since I typically travel at least 3 times a month. Of course I struggled to pack my bag and had to sit down twice while getting dressed. Almost passed out while rushing around. Told myself to "man up" and get going because this is what I have to do. My bag is full of weird things like Protein shake powders, protein Soup packets, blender bottles, and is light enough that I can pick it up and put it in the overhead. I get to the airport and you know what's really nice?? Not even having to THINK about "Do I want something to eat?" Sounds like a small thing and perhaps it is, but it's a big feel-good for me. I was always very careful about eating junk while traveling but I THOUGHT about it. A lot. I had all these reasons I should get something just in case. In case we were delayed, in case I didn't have time to grab lunch before meetings, in case, in case. Today I know I need a G-2 for carbs, a bottle of Water for my shake on the plane, and that's it! Oh sweet relief! Thank you sleeve! I love you! Interestingly I have to take a client out to dinner tonight, and another one tomorrow. And me only 2 days old on soft foods. Should be fun

Does anything know about death in Mexico.
gamergirl replied to tampa's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
No offense but when your first and only post is something inflammatory like this, you should know that most of us think you work for the competition and are here to stir the pot. The universe is not nice to people who seek to profit off someone's death. Just saying. -

You know, on the plus side, you may be putting on muscle from walking 4.5 miles while is slowing the scale. That's a lot of walking! Good for you! -
how long did it take to get off bp meds
gamergirl replied to angry's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My husband has had to keep a BP log. He wanted off but as long as she was seeing 140/anything our PCP won't take him off. She's wiling to reduce the dose but says that with so much going on post op, she's not willing to attribute all his lightheadedness and sometimes very low BP to a need to be completely off his meds. If you aren't already, recommend that you start logging it so you can make a case for reducing or realize you may not yet be there. It will likely come in time Vitafusion gummies are delicious and seem sleeve friendly for us. -
craving for snacks late at nite
gamergirl replied to fancy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you're getting heartburn late at night, maybe you need to take your Prilosec or other PPI regularly.
