I just can't imagine how we were carrying around all this weight all these years. It definitely is a sobering visual. You should be so proud of your efforts. -

Fake fat, hugely transfat and completely unhealthy. -
I got this from the "Eating well after weight loss surgery" book. I've modified for my usual shortcuts juice 1 c evaporated fat free milk 1/2 Lb shrimp shelled, cleaned deveined salt Pepper ( I added paprika) Directions 1. Spray large saucepan with cooking spray and cook onions, garlic & ham/bacon until soft and brown 2. Add lemon pepper, clam juice, evaporated milk, cauliflower and shrimp and let it come to a boil, stirring often. Cook until shrimp are pink. 3. Add salt, pepper, paprika. 4. Puree in vitamix or blender. SOOO yummy! Tastes like a creamy bisque with potatoes, thanks to the cauliflower. Serves 4 Calories: 130 Protein: 22 gms (!!) Fat: 1.3 gms Carbs: 11 gms

That's a lot though! Congrats! -
I can't believe I am admitting to this publicly but I did in fact, get great relief from seeing a chiropractor who used to be a former athlete for this. Apparently a belief in chiropractic techniques was not necessary to feel the relief. Who knew? I went in unable to even so much as move my neck or walk, and walked out with no pain. Made me wonder if some of those miracles in holy books that occurred after a laying if hands weren't in fact, medieval forms of chiropractor-y techniques. You want someone who believes that adjustments can offer acute relief and not require 6 month commitments of weekly adjustments etc. My guy used to play football with the FL Gators, and know exactly what to do to provide quick relief. His eyes lit up when I told him I got the stick neck from weight lifting May be worth a try.

That should be easy for me

I wouldn't worry about it. I can eat about 1/4 c of them puréed, and that's not even 10 gms of carbs really. Also the babybel light cheeses taste and feel different to the string cheese and that might be a nice break. Someone had also suggested to me putting in Protein powder into thickish lentil Soups when they were warm. -

recommend a liquid brand of glucosamine chondroitin MSM?
gamergirl replied to Diana49's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
And actually I lied because if you are okay with just glucosamine, then I have read rave reviews on joint juice which they sell at Costco. My husband's friend also swears by it, but again, not my personal experience. -

gamergirl replied to Diana49's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I cannot recommend one but I would urge you to google chondritin and joint pain. Consumer reports had an article saying the glucosamine really helps, the chondritin does absolutely nothing except inflate the price. Again, not my opinion because I am completely ignorant on. This issue, I just remember stupid stuff I read for no reason -

Crab cakes as sliders?
gamergirl replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I mean this is how little I ate of my lunch (I took a pic to show my family because I thought the before and after were funny). I was on a plane and got the cheese plate, never intended to eat the crackers or fruit, but thought I'd enjoy the cheese. -

Crab cakes as sliders?
gamergirl replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Annie, many foods "slide" straight through to your intestines without giving you the feeling of fullness that Protein does. That is why we have to eat our protein first. Typical slides for people seem to be junky things like chips, candy, ice crew, high calorie liquids etc. you should search sliders on this forum because eating sliders is a classic way to "eat around your sleeve" and gain weight. And we don't want that happening to us. HTH -
