  1. Oh I could TOTALLY do that! They were peanut butter and caramel and they tasted just like a snickers bar. It's the devil's work I tell you! I'm mad at myself.
  2. That Medium looks JUST FINE on you! very cute.

started soft food gained 2 pounds

It could be that your body is hanging on to the food, but you're also in the right time window to hit the dreaded 3 week stall so buckle up, keep doing what ou are doing, and join the hordes of us suffering through the same thing! Sucks doesn't it? Good news is, it's temporary.
  5. It's time to call the doctor. You should be finding it easier to drink as time goes by. Ask to go in and let them have a look at you. Good luck, and keep us posted.
  6. I put them side by side for you. Does that help?
  7. Peggy? YOU may not be able to see a difference but I sure do! There's a very noticeable difference between those two photos! And I am not very observant typically so it's not like I have a keen eye or anything. There's a difference. I think the people who talk about clothing sizes are wearing clothes that are more fitting than yours but trust me, your body looks different in those two shots.

Day 8- feel worse not better!

It depends on the doctor. Some use a super-strength glue. We didn't have staples.

Day 8- feel worse not better!

I have no useful advice but just wanted to send you a virtual hug and hope that they can figure out why you are having that pain during your visit today.
  12. My son called for his daily chat, a time I really look forward to. He says, "How was your day?" Well I've had a lovely day. I got to go into the office, work with a team of 6 very smart people, we all got some great thinking and work done. I was able to join them in the lunch I ordered for us, and I've extremely been productive all day. What were the first words out of my mouth in response to my son's question? "Well, I'm still stalled." WTH?? That's all I can think of to tell him about my day?? So he's a very insightful smarty-pants and he says to me, "Mom it was one thing to rely on the scale when you could say 'oh maybe I should cut down a bit tomorrow' and use the scale to monitor and adjust your eating habits. But really, what role does the scale play in your life now??" For a change, I was speechless. Well he wasn't about to stop there. He carries on saying, "Maybe you should ask yourself if it's healthy to let what you see on a scale determine your feelings of success for the day? After all you're doing what you need to, and you told me you were going to focus on process vs. the outcome. Would anything change in your process if you just threw away the scale for 3 months?" No of course it wouldn't but can i throw away the scale for 3 months? I cannot. Why? Because maybe I'm sick in the head and I associate my self-worth with success or failure at pounds lost. Not what I do to succeed, but whether the scale says I've lost weight today. Unlike a lot of people here, over the last few years i could NOT lose weight. I could control my calories, my cardio-vascular health, what I put in my mouth, but I couldn't control my weight. Yet I continued to judge myself by my ability to lose weight. Not by my ability to do what was healthy, but whether or not I could lose weight. I may have been sleeved, but apparently that way of judging myself still persists. So really, I ask all of you.... if we are eating our Protein, drinking our Water, and exercising to the degree that we can, what role does or should the scale play in our lives when we're trying to lose weight? Should we not focus on the process, monitor the crap out of the protein and water and calories, and let the scale go off on a long hike to TImbuktoo? And can you do that? Why not? what do you think? (Note, I'm in the dreaded 3-week stall, I know this, I accept it, so it's not about the stall. It's about how we judge ourselves by using criteria or outcomes that are outside of our control).

Wow. Do people still recognize you?
  15. I had so much to do today, tons of client deliverables, most of them time-sensitive, lots of phone calls...so what did I do? I started a blog. Will you check it out and tell me what you think? http://sleevers.wordpress.com/ If I can geek out for a minute, wordpress ROCKS. I literally did that from 8 am until now, while in between deliverables and during boring conference calls. Much of the content was stuff I had posted here, but it has a nice, handy dandy recipes tab for the few recipes I've posted here since people ask me frequently how they can see my recipes while on their phones. Well, here we go. I have a feeling this is all because I'm trying desparately not to weigh today ---oh hey! and succeeding so far!
  16. so how often do you weigh? Second day of no scale for me! NSV takes on a new meaning

    SEX!

Pokey I can totally see that you and schmootzy pants over there have a great thing going. But girl, some of us are starving over here. Less of the butter, biscuits, gravy, beans, franks, pies, milkyways etc? An articulate and ladylike person such as you no doubt has a lot of non-food love-nothings she could call someone like your hunka burning lurrvvee.
