    Pickles?

I'm about 6 weeks out and after a work out I was craving something salty, I had the kosher pickle halves, I peeled the skin off and ate the pickle. I know I can soon start introducing fruits but the doctor wants them peeled first, so I peeled mine just saying also had a sip or two of the juice !! It's good for not getting muscle cramps!

  7. I am a stomach sleeper also and it took me about 10 days to sleep on my stomach. I was scared to tear something inside and worried about the incisions. I didn't really sleep well until I was on my back again so it will be soon !! Just waiting about 10 days

    July sleevers! Are we ready!

I'm 5'4 tall. highest weight 228 at surgery 222 sleeved on July 22nd ad hit wonderland this morning at 199.4 four weeks after survey. I did hit a stall at week 3 and didn't loose a lb for about 4 days it was also during my cycle and my weight is always off during that time. I was wearing a 16 in all clothing probably getting closer to an 18 and today I am wearing my 14's comfortably. Still having protein shakes every morning with yogurt cheese and jello throughout the day and slowly introducing soft food I'm excited for what's to come best of luck to everyone.

    Cheating during two weeks?

I had to do 2 week liquid diet, and yes if you cheat try and not do carbs or sugars. I had a steak one night with a salad and the other night a chicken salad with ranch dressing. But the 2 days prior to surgery I didn't cheat. Plus you digest food fully after 5 hours I believe so it's ok

    July sleevers! Are we ready!

My VSG procedure was at 9:00 am, on July 22nd. the IV quickly makes you drowsy and like they say when you wake up you wonder " when are we going to start". The anesthesia made me super drowsy. (It's like motion sickness times ten) I heard them say It was taking me about 30ish minutes to wake up from the anesthesia. As soon as I was coherent enough I started immediately applying lip balm and asking for shaved ice. I was only allowed to have 1 spoon of shaved ice every 15 mins, mainly to wet my mouth. Then starting at 4 pm they introduced water and propel and crystal light (water). I attached a picture of the small "lids" they gave us to drink out of. Looks like a first communion amount of liquid!! They want me to take 15 minutes to drink that, it can be continuous if you need but the key is to drink slowwwww. Then at 4:45 pm I walked around our section of the hospital twice. At 5:00 pm they brought jello and broth but with those i am taking it very slow to consume because I want to be precautions. I tried to pee after the procedure but nothing was coming out. Around 4 pm I was finally able to pee and I thought it was a lot of pee which made me happy but it also took me sitting in the bathroom for about 10 whole minutes and I had to push. The only bad part so far was the nausea which for me slowly came off in my opinion bc I was having ice chips and pushing the medicine button every 15 min. I've only walked once going to walk again in an hour around 10:30pm and pee again doing very well in my opinion. Everyone has a different experience, so far mine has been good/ great now at midnight I have been peeing a lot I will most likely be discharged tomorrow the day after my surgery !! One day at a time
