I am there with you and could use some help too!

It took me months and the right fill before I started feeling satisfied. I was feeling very frustrated but I recently got the correct fill and I feel good.

:help: Ok ladies...I need your help....how do you track how much you eat to know how much calories you consume?

I was banded in August...I had a hernia repair and could not burp for about two weeks....this shall pass during the healing process.

Guys I am sorry I could not make the luncheon...my son broke his wrist over the weekend so you can only guess how much fun I had...hope to see you all in November!

Okay ppl...I had my last fill on Tuesday of this week. I now have 5 cc's in a 10 cc band. I feel restriction in my chest but am still hungry?I try to eat that cup of food they recommend but then I am hungry. So I try to eat some more and then I am ok. I can't eat a cup of food. It cannot hold me for long. I am getting frustrated. Today I talked to Billiejane and the SWLC and got some clarity but cannot it is not gelling. They say they rather I eat food instead of protein shakes but I see a lot of people here are successful with them. Do I need more of a fill? What do I do until then? C'mon ppl help a sister out.

What does it feel like when you are satisfied?

Actually they are covered by the ontario gov't. The terminology is called a pannilectomy. It is the removal of the pannus (hanging stomach) if it is to long (grade 3). I have coverage for it. If you want the abdomen muscels tightened and the new belley button it is about $2500-3000 more. The doctors suggest that you be under 200 lbs for cosmetic reasons and lessened risk of side effects. You should be at your goal for about a year and then get the surgery.

Everything passes with time....I did not beleive gas was so deadly. Heating pads, walking, gas x....I wish I had a secret potion to give you but time heals all wounds.

jtrujillo, I pray that you stopped bringing...I used to suffer with bulimia for years and it took a toll on my body. Since I got the band I have no binged or purged and for the first time in a while my body feels normal. When you binge and purge your body expells electrolytes (potassium and soduim) which your body needs to function. I found that I too was passing out at work, always sick, at one time I was on anxiety pills cuz I was too ashamed to tell my dr and he diagnosed me with anxiety attacks. It will give your body a real roller coaster ride...baby girl. Take it from an old pro...it ain't worth it...take care.

Hey eveyone, I had my surgery on August 7, 2007. :whoo:I am on solid foods right now and can eat almost anything...kinda getting scared. It was my first day back to work today and I ate cake today and could just step on my big toe! :faint: I am getting my first fill on September 4, 2007, I can't wait. :heh: I am supposed to get 4 cc's. I am very excited but I don't know what to expect. :help:I have a 10 cc band. Can the more experienced bandsters tell me what to expect? I did have 3 cc's in my band after surgery and had a lot of restriction but that was in combonation with a hernia repair and swelling. How does the weight loss work? What will I feel if I eat too much...will that be enough of a deterent? What are some of the things that made you successful and kept you going. I really need your help.

Count me in beautiful PPL! Crispy, I would love to see ya girl but the truth is you will not be ready to be out and about....I was still high off the of the anesthetic and gas X. I am sure I will see you at the November lunch!

Hello, I had a hernia repair with my lap band. I found that my chest felt tight and I could not burp. I saw that recovery was a little more uncomfortable than the norm but nothing too drastic. Hope that helps.

Hey everyone, I am feeling really down today. I just got an interview to supervise my department. I was so happy until I started trying on clothes. I got so depressed and then while trying on clothes my husband had to tell me that he thought I gained the weight I took off....could I ever feel so low and depressed. I am so scared of gaining weight....I got my first fill and I don't have much restriction. I felt that it would be different. I don't know what do do but cry guys....I really hate myself right now.

Hi Donna, Thanks....I try to be honest with myself and others at all times. Its not an easy road...but I am so happy I did this...I will try my best to be there...I really want to meet you all! If I come..how will I know were everyone is sitting? Do I ask for anyone in specific?
