    Any October surgeries out there...

I hope both hear from them soon with a date and that is isn't too far in the future! The two week liquid date was a cake walk compared to the awful bowl prep. Sorry to hear that you also have to do that again. Molly 10/2

    OMG October 2013 Post-ops

The morning of surgery my Wii Fit weight at home was 257. They didn't weigh me there, just jotted down the Wii Fit weight. While in the hospital post surgery, they were worried about my low urine output, so they doubled the boley IV bags for 1.5 days. I developed a cough and my surgeon recognized it was because I had too much Fluid. Off the IVs and 2 diuretics later, no cough, I could breathe better and then I went home later that night. When I was home, my Wii Fit weight was 268! This morning it was 256. :-) Molly 10/2/13 5'6" HW 2/13 288 SW 257 CW 256

Yay! For the first day post - op I weigh less than I did pre-op. They pumped me so full of fluids, I HS gained more than 11 pounds. Molly 10/2/13

I'm so glad that you have done well since the surgery. No one is perfect. Time to dust off and move on, eh?

    Any October surgeries out there...

My pre-op diet was 3 Slimfast shakes (meals) and two Protein Shakes (snacks) plus broth, Water, a little juice (4-8 oz) a day. I could also have decaf tea, sf Jello and sf popsicles. The last day before surgery I followed that diet through lunch, then had Clear liquids until 4 hours pre-op. Molly 10/2/13

    Steps and beds

I have an adjustable bed upstairs. I was able to climb the stairs yesterday on my first night home no problem. I've been up and down the stairs a few times today. Get plenty of pillows to prop yourself on, if you have a normal bed.
