Dermabond/stitches
JSCRIMPSHIRE replied to JSCRIMPSHIRE's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I called my dr office and the nurse put steri strips on it. The problem with that, which is why my dr used the dermabond to begin with, is that I am allergic to bandage adhesive. Everywhere it touches looks like red puff paint and itches like the dickens. I made myself leave it on for 24 hours but it is still open- healing- but still not closed. I am on antibiotics for infection. -

Try not to worry too much about a leak. Like someone else posted you will spike a fever and it will be excruciating. Also, I am almost four weeks out too, if we were going to have a leak, we probably would have had it already. As long as you at following your food plan you should be fine!! Good luck and keep us updated! -

Honeymoon phase is long over and i am at a divorce
JSCRIMPSHIRE replied to newgrandmother's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was diagnosed 12 years ago and the white things have always been an issue. The best I ever felt, before being sleeved, was when I did a flour/starch free diet. No white Floyd, wheat flour, rice flour, nothing. It is much harder than I thought it would be but was worth it. I don't think I will ever truely go back to them ever.... -

3weeks post op. What to eat?
JSCRIMPSHIRE replied to Melanie757's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is true. Every surgeon is different. I was on full liquids for two weeks then moved to soft/purée for three weeks before solid foods on the sixth week. I was sleeved 7/1. -
I am a teacher and it is programmed in to eat in 10..... Think about it- by the time we walk to the cafeteria, go through the line (which I won't be doing anymore), and did a seat, all of our one is gone. All that is left to shovel and swallow- everything!

It goes away - well the frequency goes away. I burp after I eat every time. That is how I know I am full.

I tried it and it was ok. A little strong. Not sure if I would be able to use it at home and drink it. -
I feel the same way. I don't think I am Peeing enough in comparison to what I am taking in.

Agree to that, Cheri!

Congratulations to you! The first week was very painful for me. No position really helped either. But after that first week everything got so much better each day.... -
I used to make them with almond flour- literally taking whole almonds and grinding it to flour. Did pizza crust the same way. Tasted pretty good. I'll have to ask about these...
