It is not a scam, at least from this company. I get five cases of shakes a month plus Vitamin supplements. I have no co-pay. The company verifies if your insurance covers it and then sends a prescription fax to your doctor's office. I got my first shipment in about 2 weeks after applying, and they come every month.

I am not sure, but I believe even Medicaid will provide for this. -

Do you have any insurance at all? If so, go to insurenutrition.com There is a short questionnaire to fill out, they will take it from there and do the rest. I get 5 cases of premiere Protein shakes a month, and my Vitamin supplements all for free. It all get's shipped to my house. -
The Skinny Cow candies are great. The Weight Watchers chocolate/caramels are to die for. I eat them in very limited quantities, but when you absolutely have to have chocolate they are the ones to go to. Also, Viactiv milk chocolate Calcium chews are really good. They are my calcium source, but I also consider them a snack and they do help with my cravings.

Relationships after the sleeve. Are you happy and in it to win it? Are you ready to leave/divorce your tormentor?
ldoyle replied to buplee's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am afraid I may end up on the leave the tormenter side. I would steak my life on the fact my hubby of 35 years has a paranoid personality disorder. By his calculations, I have had an affair with EVERY man I have ever met, including his own brother. I have never had an affair. BPD seem to improve with age, and as I gained and gained, he let up bit by bit until it wasn't a constant source of abuse anymore. However, once I got to my highest of 243, he lost total interest in me himself. Now that I lost most of the weight, its starting all over. I am seriously considering throwing in the towel. I can't keep changing myself into something that will make him happy, because nothing will ever make him happy. -
It won't seem crazy in a couple of weeks. My favorite drink is slushees. I throw some ice, water and cherry flavored mio in the blender and zap it a few times, and I sip on them all day. Right after surgery everything seemed sickenly sweet, but that didn't last too long. Good luck!

Liquid protein -YUKKKKK!
ldoyle replied to NeuroSurgNurse's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The liquid Protein shots got me the closest I have come to throwing up since I had my surgery. A large box (minus one) sits in my pantry. They taunt me in there. Still causes me to shudder. I really like the unjury unflavored Protein powder. It mixes well into Soups, chili, puddings. I have even been known to mix it with a half cup of Carb Smart ice cream. Just let the ice cream melt just a bit and stir it all together. Turns a treat into a protein packed snack with low carbs. By the way, the Breyers low carb ice cream tastes very, very, good! I was blown away! Sometimes I use it as a base for a smoothie, thow in a handful of frozen banana slices, strawberries, no sugar added cherries, MMMM going to make some of those tomorrow!!! -
I have a question for you if you don't mind? I noticed you deal with head hunger at night. Are you on any PPI's still? The reason I ask is because I was feeling tremendous hunger pains at night, or so I thought. I figured out it was acid, and my dr. told me to add another ppi in the late afternoon. It fixed the problem! When I was only taking the ppi in the morning, it wore off by evening, and I confused the acid for hunger.

How's your weight loss going, slow, steady, stalled or goal?
ldoyle replied to da1stladie's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Slow looser here. Surgery 8/6/13 and have only lost 29 pounds. Just came out of a long stall, but honestly still struggling with getting in all the protein and water. But I know I will get there. Need new clothes before I can go into another meeting!!! -
Need a Lift and Tuck. So frustrated Insurance won't pay!
ldoyle replied to Lisa's Hope's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Ms Vet, how many surgeries did all of that take? Did that total price include air fare each time? -
I also used the rechargeable e-cig vapor method, after 30 years and found it incredibly easy. I put down my half pack of cigarettes in the vapor store and haven't missed it for even a micro second. The thought of having a real cig does not appeal to me at all. I highly recommend it. My lung capacity is great, no more huffing and puffing while walking, trying to keep up with people. It's great. Its easy to taper down the nicotine till it's gone.

I ate it all the time! It was about he only soup that agreed with me, except for chicken noodle, and I didn't want to get all those noodle carbs!!!

From what I understand what you are feeling is actually quite common. My niece went through it bad. It was something I worried about getting. I kind of link it to post partum depression, when you have had a major life change, and in reality have never been happier, but had an indescribable feeling of sadness. -

Girl, lots of us would love to be in your shoes, with so little to loose! I bet that the problem is you are comparing yourself to the wrong people. You can't compare pound for pound. You didn't say what your goal weigh is, but lets say for arguments sake that it is 130 pounds. That would leave you with a desired weight loss of 74 pounds. You have already lost 25 percent of your excess weight! That is a major accomplishment! I have only lost 20%.
