I lost hair, but it was only noticeable when I washed it. My hair is really thick. My hair lost stopped the moment I was able to intake 60 gm of protein daily. While I wasn't counting my protein, that was my daily sign that I didn't get in my required protein the day before. When I counted & increased my protein, hair lost stopped.

When does the 6 moth waiting period start?
Tiny One replied to charlie707's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I didn't have a waiting period. Just had to finish all appointments, testing & get clearances. My first consult & information sessions was in July & doc asked me when would I like to have the procedure. I told her oct or nov. so we scheduled all appointments right away. Sleeved Nov 7. It was a really fast process for me. -
Hard time with Water - HELP!
Tiny One replied to twsport's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Same here. I drank warm decaf tea most days to help with my fluid intake until I was able to drink the water. After 3 months, I could do the water with no problem. -
Sleeved on 11/7 & got approval to drink a glass of wine for 12/31. While I had no problem, I stopped at 1/2 glass as I got tipsy so fast. It doesn't take much, so watch your surroundings.

You are doing great. Only 7 lbs away from your 7/30 goal, that's awesome. But don't worry, it will happen the way that it suppose to happen. don't get discouraged. Keep up the good work. -

Check your insurance co website. Most will have their clinical policies out there for public view. It should list the criteria you must meet to get it covered. Some will cover if BMI 40 or more w/o medical conditions. Good Luck -

Why oh why did I do this to myself?
Tiny One replied to marfar7's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
. Lets think about this. I'm sure it was for reasons other than the 45 pounds. It's to get & keep you healthier, right? & to get off the other 73. There's more to this journey. So, focus on that & you'll be ok. In a few weeks or so, you'll be so glad you did this. Hang in there. -
Awesome. I've been holding onto clothes that I've outgrown for years with hope. Well, I've been able to wear them post op, only to outgrow them again, but in the opposite direction. Not disappointed at all. TALK ABOUT HOPE!!!!

Tiny One replied to CaseyLopez2013's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
There are some good before & after photos that are extremely inspirational. If you don't to anything else, check out those photos & I guarantee its the encouragement you are looking for. Good luck!!! -
I got clearance after 6 weeks to exercise as tolerated? Treadmill, elliptical, rowing machine & total body work out with trainer. Had no problems.

I thought the same thing, but wanted it so bad. Because I wanted to get healthier, I looked at all of the pros & cons. Glad I did, best thing ever. It has some really good perks. if you want it bad enough, you can do this. Good luck!

I agree with everyone here. I would have bought the smaller size like you did. You will be down another size or 2 by the wedding date & can get it altered 2 weeks prior to the wedding. So don't second guess yourself, although I did when I started buying new clothes. Funny thing was, i felt a little "cocky" buying smaller sizes. Found things that I really liked but they didn't have the size that I currently was wearing. So I bought 2 sizes smaller, & was so glad that I did. So, have fun with this.

I couldn't have said it better!

My doc told me I'd be ok to go back after 2 weeks. However, she suggested 4-5 weeks if I had the time. Said it would give me time to build up stamina, adjust to food stages & adjust my schedule to add in exercise. While I didn't think I needed 5 weeks, I took 5 weeks and was glad that I did. At 4 weeks post op I was still struggling with taking showers due to lack of energy & sleep pattern was still off. By the 5th week, I was much, much better.

I was Private Sleever which i really really liked, but couldn't seem to login or reset my past word.. So I had to create a new name just last week. And as things continue to go well & when I reach my goal, I will be tiny.
