I conquer! Senses have been awakened!!!! I thought it was great before surgery. But JESUS!!!!!!
  2. Doc gave approval for a glass of wine 7 weeks post op. surg was 11/7 & I had wine on 12/31. While i was able to tolerate it, I got tipsy really fast so I stopped after drinking half of it. I was warned that it wouldn't take much to get me drunk & to watch my surroundings. Weird thing is, I got approval to drink at 7 weeks, but was told back then it was too soon for caffeine. So it truly depends on your doctor.
  3. It will definitely get better. Took me 4-5 weeks to start to feel normal again. Then it's been smooth sailing. 8 mons post op & I couldn't be feeling better. Hang in there.

  9. Yes, exercise will help with your weight loss. Works for me.
  10. It will get easier day by day. Try warm decaf tea as it will help with the swelling of your new stomach. Try drinking your water room temperature. As time goes by, you'll be able to tolerate your fluids. You have to keep at it so you won't get dehydrated. Good luck.

    Torn...

First day or 2 was a little painful, but nothing the pain meds couldn't handle. I didn't need pain meds after first few days. Then week 2, I felt like I was hit by a truck but that lasted only for 2 days. By the end of week 2 I had no pain, but didn't have too much energy & wasn't sleeping much. Week 4 & 5 I started feeling really good & more like myself. Been smooth sailing since.

    Being chased around

Girl, enjoy it. I know, I do. I'm 8 mons out & still getting chased. Funny thing is, i ain't running. Consider yourself lucky as I've seen posts on this forum where some husbands aren't supportive & may be intimidated even going as far as asking for a divorce. Have fun!!!

    After pic of the girls...

My girls have always been on the small side. But over the past several years, I became proud as they seemed to have grown as I gained weight. Oh, well. It was fun while it lasted. Now back to an A cup. Any smaller I'll be in a training bra. Lol....

    new clothes!

Before buying new clothes, I had fun fitting the clothes that I hadn't worn because they were too tight. So that's what got me through the first few months. As I started buying new stuff, I bought stuff that were several sizes too small as inspiration. I must say, it's been fun buying smaller clothes.

    new clothes!

That's great. But don't buy too many now because they'll be too big for you in another month or so.

    Too "small" for surgery?

My BMI was between 35-40. 97 lbs overweight. When I went for my sleep study & preadmission bloodwork, the folks there thought I was too small for WLS. What's funny was, neither of them were the doctors, nor did they know my medical history. One of the main reasons I didn't tell too many folks. Everyone didn't need to know I had GERD, had sleep apnea since i was a kid but progressed as i got older & heavier. borderline diabetic for the past 3 yrs along with elevating HP & cholesterol levels, low back pain from being rear ended in car accidents 3x. I didn't tell my family because I was certain they'd say I was too small & didn't need it. 8 mons post op & so glad for my sleeve. No longer in obesity category & other medical concerns gone.
  20. My weight slowed down after 6 mons. Losing maybe 1-2 lbs a week. I'm ok with that as I really didn't want to lose a total of 97 lbs as it was suggested. Down 62 & would be ok if i Stayed were I am, but I know I'm still losing slowly.
  21. Incredible!!! Great job!
  22. My husband & I go often alone & with others.. First few times I ordered soup & ate probably half of it. Now we go out I will order anything that I want. eat a small portion & will have a meal for the next couple of days. Sometimes i may share a meal with my husband or best friend. Its normally some sort of chicken or fish & green vegetables. I eat really slow.
