I was back at work one week post-op. Things have been really well for me. The only thing that was different for me was that I was tired by the afternoon. But, that may be because I was in training all week for my first week back.

Thanks guys you have helped me to know that I am not alone. I made it through the night...today I did eat an ounce of baked salmon and it was sooooooo delicious. I chewed slow and made sure I chewed it up good. No pain....my stomach did let me know when it was time to stop. And I listened. I have been eating soups so damn long....smh. Eating that tiny piece of salmon felt wonderful!

I'm doing great!!!! Other than feeling hungry. Lol. Full of energy. The only thing different is that I stay cold all the time when before I was always hot!

How did you make out with the mashed potatoes. I did try a few bites but got scared so I went and grabbed some yogurt....

I was sleeved on 7/17 and have been doing well with my liquid diets. Tuesday I will be able to have purée foods but all day I have been contemplating putting the salmon I cooked for my family in a blender....the craving hit me again so I just went to the freezer and grabbed a Popsicle to take my mind off of this...I am gonna get through this.

Hello Everyone! I had my surgery on the 17th! Everything went well. I was active since they put my in my room. My first walk was 2 am the next morning. I have been walking ever since. Not in any terrible pain. Just a little soreness from where the incision was where the pulled my stomach. And oh my the gas!!!!! I think the gas is worse than the soreness....lol! I've had my moments of trying to get my liquids down....the gas makes that a little difficult. But for now, things are good.

Powerade Zero Sports Drink is a life saver!!! I had a headache today and I drank Powerade. After that, I felt fine!!!!

I was gonna MSG you to see how you're making out! I'm ready. This clear liquid diet has been tolerable but I'd rather have something to eat. Lol!

I have to be at the hospital at 10:30 am tomorrow. I pray that everyone does well. I am excited to be getting this done and super excited to see the results long-term!!!!

I know what you mean! Today is my first day of being on clear liquids. Already my stomach is growling...lol! So I'm gonna fix some broth. Be sure to keep us posted!!! You'll do fine!

One more day for you! How are you feeling? Mine is the 17th and now I am Super Excited!!!!

No I'm not having second thoughts...just thoughts about how I will make out during and after when it comes to eating...I don't want to fail.

My doctor gave me a list of all meds to stop at certain times....NSAIDs were one of them to stop taking 2 weeks prior to surgery. I probably could take something else but I don't want to chance it. I start Clear liquids Monday.

That's funny...cause I keep migraines and I felt a headache coming on this afternoon and I told myself not today cause I won't be able to take anything for it. I'm super excited but have a lot of emotions...but Wednesday isn't coming fast enough.
