Can you explain dry brushing to me
-
Hi! I'm three months out from surgery and even though I'm doing a lot of exercise I've started noticing that I'm stating to get loose. I already plan on having my arms, stomach and breasts done. But how long after you get to goal is it best to wait? Should I do tummy and breasts before or after having children. My arms will be the first to go! Any advice. Xx

How is everyone?

I started with walking. I walked everyday for months. Now that feeling great I have a personal trainer once a week and I do two Extend Barre classes. The rest of the week I do a series of crunches etc to tone and sculpt. And I'll go for a walk once a week. I'm loving the new motivated me. Good luck with your workouts x

Skin firming cream pre & post op
lubelu replied to lubelu's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow thank you all or the advice. I've been using Nivea q10and I have noticed a smoother appearance especially on my thighs which are in my opinion pretty yuck! But I'm living with the fact that no cream is going to get of my bat wing arms and a little nip and tuck is in my future! -

Shopping is so much fun now! I was always a good shopper but now I'm an excellent shopper. I've lost over 50lbs and nothing fits and have had to get a few new items. But things I've bought have either been a bit tighter or things that will look great no matter what size. When I booked my surgery my husband walked into our closest and looked at my side and just let out this all mighty s&"t and I though he hurt him self so I ran over to him concerned. Hex said that we will need a second mortgage to replace all the clothes in my closest. I laughed and laughed

Also comfortable loose pjs! And I got a singlet bra type thing from bonds. Most comfortable as I don't like the girls to run free! Get some broth in the freezer and I measured it out into 1/2 cup portions so I knew how much I was taking in. I bought mini Vitamins from chemist warehouse. My NUT recommended them to me. I still take them every day. Benefiber is a must. I drink apple juice too. It went down very well wasn't acidic.

Haha. I still add benefiber to my yogurts and I alway add Protein powder to it to. When I was on preop the first night I was a raving lunatic!! But I found that having a shake in the morning Optifast Soup at lunch and then cooked vegetable in a tomato based sauce with the optifast chocolate bar at night fantastic. That process just worked to curb my cravings and gave me that much needed chocolate I Fix at night.

Before my surgery I told a few people. My family and friends and a few people at work. But then once I had my surgery I was out of commission for two weeks. So once I got back to work people were wondering if I was ok and I had no problem in telling them that I had surgery. Everyone was hugely supportive and I've relieved nothing but love and support. I've chose not to tell some of the elderly members of my family as it would be too difficult for them to understand. I'm not hiding anything. Everyone has seen my weigh struggle for ever!! I've always been the big girl from when I was little. So now they can see me enjoying it come off.

Whats it like being under and waking up from surgery?
lubelu replied to Disabledaccount's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok..well going under was no problem. They gave me some great drugs to calm me and that was AWESOME couldn't stop laughing and then fell asleep. I don't have much of a memory coming out of anaesthesia. But according to my family who were waiting for me in my room they wheeled me in and I was swearing like a sailor. I was shouting f***** me over and over again. I shouted " where's my pain pump I want my fn pain pump" they then gave me pain meds ad I slept until the next day. It was a little dramatic. I remember the pain but they couldn't give me nothing for it because my oxygen levels were too low. But once they did I was out again. -

I've lost 22kg since August 6. I've had to get new clothes because nothing fits anymore. I have so much energy for everything and one of the first things my husband noticed was pretty much a week after being sleeved I stopped snoring and breathing heavily at night. And things just keep getting better. Except for my boobies getting smaller (hshahahaha)

The waiting to even start the preop was terrible! But then it goes so quickly. From hospital to recovery to soft foods and now to anything. It's gone so quickly for me. But it was only a few months ago that I was in your shoes. I found preop fantastic because I came out of it not craving sugars or carbs and even now I've been able to curb that with the occasional indulgence. I think the most uncomfortable is other people watching me eat and sometimes run to the bathroom to slime (throw up) Some family can't handle how little I eat and coming from a big Italian family food is everything. Food is now do far from my mind I now eat for energy and because its good for me not for anything else. It is such a freeing feeling
