I think I'm going to have to stop because it's upsetting me!

Anybody hit a stall in weight loss yet? My scale hasn't moved in 4 days! I had surgery feb 13

Excited to eat finally! What is the amount of mashed potatoes I should have? I'm planning on eating some mashed and flounder but don't want to overdue it.

For pre op I could have broth, 2 cups of veggies a day, jello, ice pops and protein shakes

I ate my potatoes and flounder. I measured out 1/2 cup of each. Mashed up my fish with some broth ate that first slowly. Then ate some potatoes but could only eat 1/2 if the 1/2 cup I had served myself. I feel satisfied but not overly stuffed. Now waiting 1/2 hour to drink!

I see!!! I will have mashed today I will eat slow and take it easy. I won't be having potatoes a lot but I haven't had real food since preop!!! I can have flounder on my list and for potatoes it does say lint and I will.

I went back to work on Monday full time teaching and it went well. Though it's harder to remember to get my liquids in

Hi Pat! I too am a food a holic and did this surgery to get rid of my diabetes and eventually have a child ( I'm having fertility issues due to my weight). I had surgery on feb 13 and thankfully I had no complications. About the hunger part I'm still at the liquid stage so I do still feel hunger and cravings. Some of it may be head hunger and I'm beginning to learn the difference. At first my family was against this surgery and I had to keep on it because I knew this would help me. Already my diabetes meds have been reduced by more than half and I have lost 40 lbs since the beginning of this journey 15 lbs since surgery date! No regrets at all!!! I wish you luck Pat on your upcoming surgery and just acknowledge to your family that you hear their thoughts but you are doing this for you and you would like them to be there for you if not you've got us!!!

Wtf!!!!! My husband and I just had an argument over the same thing!!! Make them go get u more!!!

I hope you are right Jen. Today my sugar also got too low so I had a 1/2 cup of applesauce as well (and sneaked a meatball!) Didn't feel full on that and afterwards had my regular broth and shake. I always start thinking did this surgery really happen or was I tricked! lol the only reason I know for certain I had surgery is that my sugar levels have been coming down consistently to the point that's pcp reduced my meds by more than half. I'm hoping to feel some kind of restriction in the near future

I'm having your same problem. I haven't felt much of a restriction. I can get 3 8 oz protein shakes, propel and my thin soups down with no problem. I'm hoping there will be more restriction in the other stages.

Today I was truly HUNGRY! Stuck to the thin liquids plan but I'm hungry still. Help!

I saw my nutritionist for a follow up today and she told me to take in more protein shakes. So from now on I will try 3 8 oz shakes a day to see if I can get rid of the hunger pains. She said I wasn't taking in enough protein! Thanks again everyone!!

So freaking annoying! My own mom was talking to my aunt in the phone saying I don't know what kind if surgery that was because she looks the same. Arg!!! Here's the silver lining when you are looking better and healthier than them they won't question you they will ask for tips! Keep doing what you doing and put a mute button on the haters!!

Surgery was on February 13 and I was hungry that very day. When I got the all clear for liquids I was ecstatic and at the hospital had broth and 1/2 cup of tea

I'm only "eating" three times a day. I have broth or tomato soup, Popsicles, sugar free beverages, 1/2 cup to a cup of protein shake a day.

That's awesome! My insulin has become less as well. I should be walking more but between snow and rain hasn't happened as much as I want. I'm proud of you!!!!

That sucks! It will get better I promise! Day 2 was rough for me as well. Just rest try hot tea if possible that helped me.
