I have been in and out of my doctors office all year, have seen an ENT and Digestive Health Specialist, back to my doctor discussing all results. I mentioned the difficulty of losing weight the past 20 years and where my health would be in the next 10 years at my weight with family history of Diabetis,Obesity and other Chronic illnesses.
I mentioned weight loss medication and my doctor said, "absolutely not an option" it would be difficult on your heart. I have High Blood Pressure, Sleep Apnea, High Cholesterol, onset Diabetis and Gerd. She then mentioned Weight Loss surgery. I was kind of shocked, as I did not think that I was qualified to even be considered. She said I have a BMI of 40 and onset of serious health issues. I would be a good candidate.
After lots of research, I am attending my first of 2 seminars next week for WLS. Hoping to get Pre-Authorization prepared this month and get a date set before the end of the year. After all the research that I have done, the Vertical Sleeve is the best fit and desirable surgery for me. There are so many things that I have said "no" to or "I can't", due to my health and weight . It is time to live a quality life again!
If anyone wants to share their beginning journey with me, that would be awesome. I am scared and excited at the same time.. Good Luck on your Journey's and keep me posted. :)
