    McDonalds

Mine too! After a stressful day the fries would call my name. Supersize those bad boys. Now after research and getting out of being unhealthy...there's no going back.

Weight Loss Stall at 2 weeks Post-op

Thanks Arts137 for sharing this. I needed to read this. I'm doing awesome with protein intake, water intake, but calories are hard. I need to move my body too. This was my kick. Thanks and again for sharing!

    McDonalds

D some research on how their stuff is made and that will turn you off. I came across how chicken nuggets I used to eat and was mortified.
  5. Wow that is a lot! My goal is to get at least 65 grams if protein in a day. I'm able to do that, but calories is my challenge. I hope all works out!

    No drains thank goodness. :-)

    Sneezing

I sneeze a lot now. However, it's not when I'm eating. I agree with RJ...we need to listen to our bodies. I'm very respectful of my new tummy. I also know the amount that will fit in it, so I never serve myself more than that. Possibly you could now be allergic to what your eating or your body no linger wants that type of food. It's definitely an adventure!

    Today starts my liquid diet

I understand your angst. I had to do 30 days. 14 days before and Post Op. The first 4 days are torturous. They were for me. I'm not gonna lie. Sugar depressed Popsicles and Jello got me through. Along with being resolute that I was making a decision to change my life for the good forever. I also wanted to ensure my doc had the best view when he operated on me. That's the purpose of the liquid diet. I did hat a little fear he would know if I had cheated too. Lol. I did have one slice of fat free turkey lunch meat. Lol. I savor end every flipping bite. Anyway....the best advice I can give you is to experiment with your Protein drinks. The best one I made and still do is....Unjury unflavored pro powder, unsweetened cocoa, PB2 Peanut Butter, ice, 1/4 of frozen banana 1(cut up, put into ice trays, froze, and transferred into baggy), milk, and sweetened with Stevia. This gives you about 31 grams of protein and 220+ calories. It will keep you full for at least 4 hours. I don't like super sweet stuff....this was perfect! Also, Health Wise protein juice mix....my fav is Lemon Raspberry and I doubled the Water. I still like it now. Bariatric Choice is a good website for options. Best Wishes! You Can Do It!!!
  9. I'll share what works for me, hoping it will help you. What I know for sure is our thoughts are powerful. If what we are thinking is causing us pain....in that moment we must make another choice to get out of pain. I focus on what I'm grateful for. Even if it's being grateful for being able to see, taste, feel, hear, and smell. I slow down and listen to my breath knowing there is a force that pumps the blood through my body and air through my lungs. I reach out to positive inspirational leaders online and read my ass off and fill my mind with good thoughts. 2 weeks out I thought I was going to go insane. I had to dig deep. Everything is our choice as to how we view our circumstances. For me chewing was like heaven. What I know for sure is if I don't like what I am seeing I change the way I look at things. Works every time!!! I promise. You may also want to ask your doc for Xanax. It can help with emotions that may be uncontrollable temporarily. Best Wishes!!!

Just got sleeved 2 days ago..

The higher temp may be your body working to heal. Use the breathing tool they gave you. I felt the same. Take your pain meds. I wasn't out of pain for 2 weeks. All different challenges, but now I feel great three weeks later. It's all normal and you will get through it. Hang in there.

    Feeling lost :(

Sorry for your loss. I pray peace that comes from our Creator fills your heart knowing she is no longer in pain. She can now soar.
  12. I do too. 3 weeks out only 10 lbs as of today. My wellness doc told me to ensure I'm getting minimum 65 g's of protein up to 100 if I can. I am having a hard time getting the calories in. He told me to ensure I watch all fats. In my extensive bloodworm GE does. He's a metabolic and hormonal doc. It's good to have that stuff checked. I learned a ton about why I was chubby. Anyway....I'm just happy I'm losing. Celebrate your wins. :-)
  13. My doc required the same, but I almost went insane. I've tried a lil this and a ill that if the next stages and took it slow. I've done great and I feel great! Not chewing almost made me insane....really:-). I thought I would lose it if I couldn't bite into something. An egg white omelet never tasted so good. Lol
  14. I've been lactose intolerant for years. It's a bummer. I use soy in my Protein Shakes. Sounds like lactate is working for you...I should try that. My surgery was on the 28th. I think my body is coming out of a shock. I lost 21 lbs before the surgery due to a liquid diet my doc had me on for 2 weeks. Then 7lbs. after surgery. I have the hardest time getting more than 900cals down a day. I'm a bit discouraged at this point, but I know the weight will come off eventually. I did drop one size. It's crazy though how different peoples bodies are. Anyway.....welcome! We're here to support one another. :-)
