  1. Unflavored with PB2 powdered peanut butter and unsweetened cocoa 1 tablespoon sweetened with stevia and add ice. I drink soy due to being lactose intolerant.
  2. 2 servings of cocoa and 2 tablespoons of PB2 and Stevia to your sweet liking. Ice makes it better too!:-)

    Lots of questions

I was over 130 lbs over weight before surgery. Some who were super obese have sagging skin. The goal for most is to get to a healthy weight where medications are not necessary. I not only wanted that, but I wanted to have energy and feel like I could move with out labor ing for breath. I hope to have a tummy tuck and a boob lift once I hit my goal weight. We shall see. Best wishes!!!
  8. What's happening to you is normal. Our bodies are shocked and hold on to Water after the glycogen is used up. Make sure to measure yourself or go by your clothes and how they fit. The scale can be discouraging. I haven't lost the way I had hoped, but the fact that I'm down 38 lbs total and dropped a whole size and about to drop another, I'm going to focus on that. For me this is about a new lifestyle. This is about taking care of me. The weight loss will come, so I don't obsess about it. There are forums on here with links to explain what is happening. 2 week stall I think it's called. Best wishes!

Whats the deal with no coffee anyhow?

My dietician told me that it can dehydrate you. I believe it from the years of seeing a trainer before gaining weight. Our tummies are tiny and we need to stay hydrated. Coffee does the opposite. It was hard for me to give up my addiction to caffeine. I went through a 3 day detox. I decided to buy some wonderful teas from Teavana that are caffeine free. Now it's the ritual of my morning hot tea. Plus it counts as liquid intake. :-)
  10. Your body hold on to water. It will pass. Stay the course. I had a stall week 3. I'm happy with any loss because I'm not gaining, but I'm not losing like some.
  11. . String cheese and baby bel cheese tastes good chewed to death. :-)

    Skipping Pureed

I did. I was super careful about what I ate and ensured I chewed 30 times. I'm doing great! When I eat something crunchy or a bit tough I know I got some chewing to do. :-). Everyone is different. If your tummy can tolerate it, then I believe it's ok. Others may not agree. I'm one month out and I am eating fish, chicken, tuna, shrimp, turkey sausage, ground turkey, etc... I add spices or sauces to my liking and I and doing great. I focus on Protein through animal sources right now. I eat yogurt, cheeses, and cottage cheese daily. I'd like to keep my hair thank you very much. Lol. I get at least 90 grams of protein in a day easily. Calories have difficult to get in, but I'm now up to 1000 calories and working my way up to 1200. I have no heart burn. The key is to stop eating before you feel a fullness sensation. I do that by serving sizes to myself. I know in my past I have been neglectful when I eat. I didn't pay attention. I've done that twice since surgery and spent a few hours on the couch regretting it. I hope that helps.:-)

    How long operation ?

Surgery takes about an hour if you have a surgeon who is methodical. The. It takes time for the anesthesia to wear off. 2 to 3 hours I'd say would cover it, but I was passed out and lost track of time. I just decided to let go and surrender to the process. Hard for me,because I'm pretty controlling. Lol

Will I always have to sip?

I drink just fine now, but I try to not gulp. I was drinking out of the straw the other day at a restaurant and forgot that I'm not supposed to. I had no pain. I'm not a fan of pain, so I try to avoid it. :-). I purchased camelback squeeze water bottle and those are working great. I do my best to follow the rules, but I let my own common sense lead me. Everyone is different.

    Pre pre pre-op

I relate to your addiction. I was a carboholic. It's like crack cocaine to me. Some may say that's drastic, but it's poison to my body type and most overweight folks. It was killing me. I was on 10 medications. Still taking medications I hope to soon get off of due to my drastic diet change. I love my new tummy. It definitely is NOT the easy way out. Screw those who think so. That's being nice of me. This is massive change for us foo addicts. We need a tool to help us be disciplined and change our habits. I eat 2 oz. of tuna and I'm full. I could throw down a foot long sub with all the fixins , a bag of chips, and a drink like it was nothing. What I found out after surgery is my stomach is huge. My surgeon said my stomach could fit over my head. No wonder I could at a whole bag of Doritos in one sitting. Check your insurance and see if they pay for it. A lot are paying for it now. You do have to jump through hoops and it will be a test to see how committed you are to changing your life. It's massive change taking this journey. However, it ps the best gift you will ever give yourself and your new wife. You want to be around and live a full life for you, her, and the kids you may have. We are 80% of control of our health. I would not change a thing. Anyway...the cost depends on your insurance or the place you get it performed. My co pay was $800.00. My insurance only pays so much and my surgeon got as much as he could get from insurance as most docs do. :-). Some of the same surgeons that work in the U.S. Work in Mexico. I live in Las Vegas and I've seen this. Anyway, I hope I have helped you some. Feel great about you and do what's best for you. You deserve it!!!
