  1. I'm on the 28th! 9am I have to be there. Not drinking water is gonna suck. I'm going to give it all I got and then surrender to this process. I know it's the right thing to do. I want my energy and life back. I hope all is well!

    Mexican Shrimp Cocktail high protein

Sounds yummy!!! I can't wait to try it!!!
  3. i heard GasX strips are good too.
  4. I just said a prayer for you!
  5. See if you can get sublingual. I have vitamin B I take that way. I'm taking the gummy multi vitamins and Vita C...I hope it doesn't make me sick. I'm thinking if I chew the heck out them until they are almost liquid, it may agree with my new tummy. I'm thinking there's a lot of vitamins in any protein drink too. I love the Bari-wise protein Water favors. At least for now. I pray I won't begin to gag on them. The smoothies are so thick and super sweet. What the heck! We need a vendor who doesn't make them so darn sweet. :-/. Good luck on your new journey!

Is this Sonic drink real? Sleever Friendly?

I wish there was a Chick-fil-a in Vegas. :-/. I loved going there when I lived in MO. I love the mango flavored iced tea made with Splenda, but my dietician took me off caffeine. I was an addict. The minute I can drink coffee or caffeinated tea....I'm all over it! Lol. No calories and energy....sounds like a perfect combo!!!
  7. Bari-wise are good and have protein. They flavor your water. Knock out two things in one. 15 to 17 g of protein. I have a feeling I'll be emptying those boxes after surgery. The Protein shakes are so flipping sweet. I like the unflavored unjury protein. I can make my own kind of smoothly. It doesn't have a strong smell either. We are gonna look rockin in a 6 months! :-). Hang in there! I have to do 2 weeks preOp liquids and 2 after. I might go crazy myself!
  8. That's the first I've heard this. I met with my nutritionist last week and she instructed me to get at least 60g's of protein daily. I'm on clear only day 1 and 2 of surgery. From all the research I've done....and it's been extensive....protein is critical for the right kind of weight loss. 60G is still small in comparison to what the Mayo clinic suggests to lose and maintain healthy weight loss. He may have a reason. I would ask him why? Doctors are not Gods. That's why they call it a practice. The more they do the more they learn. The scary part is it's our health on the line. I always research everything because doctors, nurses, and nutritionists are not always right or do they have the best information. I wish you the best health possible.
  9. Thanks for sharing! I hope I don't gain 11 lbs., but at least we both know huge weight-loss is right around the corner. :-) YAYYY! For us! We are taking care of us!!!
  10. I am scheduled for Saturday and I've been on full liquid diet for a 9 days. Yes I'm counting the days down. Anyway, what I have done is made a list of things I have procrastinated on and I am slowly each day chipping away at it. However I am off work and taking care of me for the first time in my life. Well at least since I've had kids. I suggest you take time to do some soul searching so this change will be a positive one. I have decided to do that and move my body everyday for at least 15 minutes. I want a full life, so now it's time to make a massive change. Good luck!!! Life is what we make it!!! :-)
  11. I wish you a smooth surgery and a speedy recovery!!! It's a new beginning! YAYYY!!!
  12. I purchased the unsweetened semi-sweet chocolate. I put it into the unflavored protein powder from Unjury and sweeten to my liking. I find some of the shakes too sweet. Th s has a deep rich chocolate flavor with minimal calories. I don't have an addiction to chocolate. I'd be in the cabinets looking for a carb in the past.
  13. How did your surgery go? I'm scheduled for the 28th.
  14. How did your surgery go? I'm scheduled for the 28th.
  15. That's gotta be hard. This is your time and I think subconsciously the people the closest to us sabotage us without even knowing that's what they're doing. Do it for you. You deserve perfect health! :-)

    Ninja vs. Nutra Bullet

I just received my nutri-bullet two days ago. I love it! I use the small cup. I like the handle that can be screwed on. It blends like a beast! Easy clean up too! After surgery and healed up tummy I plan on using it to get Fiber in. Plus I'm on a new path of living healthy. This will be yet another tool for me. :-). Best wishes!!!
  17. Hang in there. The first 4 days were the hardest. I'm doing a little better now. I had to mourn the loss so food and caffeine. I decided after my few days of being depressed to pull myself together and start being creative. Make some fun out of it. I'm experimenting. I tried one shake and gagged. Another was pretty good. I also realized I've been wanting to do this for years. I'm tired of being fat, unhealthy, and on 10 medicines due to being overweight. I want to live a long full life. We are in control and we an eat, but we can also be in control of our lives now. I wish you the best. You deserve it!!!
  18. Ok....lots of questions. I just had my appointment with my nutritionist 2 days ago. I'm Pre Op. You may want to try Soy. It sounds like you're lactose intolerant. I am too. However organize 1% I can do. You can get chewable vitamins. I have to take 1200-2000mg, of calcium citrate, vita b-12 sublingual, multi-vitamin. I also found a chewable Fiber. You may need that in the future. I take chewable vitamins C too. The best Protein Drink I've found so far is Bar-Wise. There's multiple favors and low in calories. I've been using unjury non-flavored the past couple days. I added blue berries and strawberries to it with some Stevia. In my opinion, Stevia is the healthiest sweetener out there. Made from a plant. Eating schedule..8,10,12,2,4,&6. Sip Water in between. 64oz. 4 small water bottles is an easier way to achieve it. You don't want to get dehydrated and wind up in the hospital. You can only eat about 2 oz at a time, so that why so many meals. That's been the hardest part for me. Tomorrow I'm going to start the every two hours protein drink. Lastly, Bariatric Advantage is the best protein powders I've tried so far. Orange Cream tastes like a 50/50 bar. It's all your own preference. Take care! I wish you the best! Lory

    SMOOTHIE KING GLADIATORS

I tried the Gladiator w/Mangosteen and Acai a small. It was ok. Like all other Protein drinks it has that same after taste. The best thing I have found so far is Bari Wise Fruit Drinks. 70 calories and 15g protein. I can stomach them without wanting to gag. I'm on day 5 of my Pre Op diet. I can feel the weight melting off my body. My biggest problem is getting in enough calories. I'm supposed to be at 800 to 900. I keep coming under. Good luck!!!
  20. It's good to know there are other women out there taking care of themselves. I'm 43, kids grown, and I'm finally taking care of me. It's crazy how taking time off feels so weird. 25 years of working and raising my kids.....this is awkward. My surgery isn the 28th. It can't come soon enough. :-). I wish you both the best!!!

I geel like I can eat too much...opinions

I remember Bob Greene talking about plateauing. He said right before a big weight loss sometimes the body holds on to water. In his next breath he said if that doesn't happen, then the exercise may need to be ramped up.

    Women what would u do?

You could give the gift of life to those who desperately desire and are willing to give a child a wonderful life. If you're not going to have kids or more kids.....I say....go for it! You deserve the fully healthy body you desire. I wish I was younger. I would do it. :-)
  23. Thank you soooo much! I'm doing everything I can to be resolute. After 5 years of debating this...I want to do this right. Thanks for the supportive message.
