My one year is approaching (8/31/14) and very happy to say I'm sitting at 177 lbs today. Going back to Mexico to have Brachioplasty and wanting to get my blood work done at the same time. What tests should I ask for while I'm there?

Hey you losers Am I calculating correctly here on % lost? I started out at 326lbs at start of preop diet, surgery weight was 301 lbs, todays weight is 181lbs. So i took 301 - 181= 120lbs or should I have taken 326-181=145lbs? Regardless.....so i figure I've lost 75% of excess weight since day of surgery and 78% since start of preop diet. To get to "normal" weight I'm using 140lbs but don't anticipate seeing that number.

The sleeve really works! I'm currently sitting at 181 right now. Can't seem to get to 170's go from 181-184 on any given day. Eating around 800-1000 cals, 60-80 Proteins and try really hard to keep carbs around 30. popcorn is my weakness.......loving turkey perky Jerky, Quest bars (choc chip cookie dough, cashew chew, white choc raspberry), lots of chicken, boars head deli meat, baby bel cheese, carb master yogurts (Kroger), shakes for Breakfast and at lease 64 oz of Water. LOVE LOVE LOVE my sleeve! Ready to move to plastic surgery for my arms One year will be 8/31/14! -

Illan with Baja Bariatrics? YES Would I go back to Mexico to be sleeved? YES! Am I happy with my decision? YES! Dr. Illan is a very talented surgeon and his WHOLE team is amazing! I took a family member back in January to be sleeved and would recommend his team to anyone. While in Tijuana I met other patients from different doctors and noticed they didn't have someone there checking in to make sure their spouse/friend/family member had eaten or was ok. When out shopping with Omar I ran into the same people who had to take a cab and had no idea what to do or where to shop. The Baja Bariatric team goes OVER & BEYOND anything you can even think of during your stay. I've lost 101 lbs thus far and am beyond thrilled with my surgery and support I have received from Baja Bariatrics

Dr. Jalil Illan with Baja Bariatrics and Omar Acosta - A Warning
sherry24184 replied to *susan*'s topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Susan I don't think you should be calling people out about things that they haven't told you directly or gave you permission to say. I think that is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL of you to do. This shouldn't turn into a witch hunt. I'm assuming she didn't. -

I can honestly say that nothing has ever been said to me that was inappropriate. -
I would refer any family member or friend to Dr. Illan with Baja Bariatrics! Best experience and decision I've ever made for myself. 8 more weeks until my one year anniversary and I'm down 142lbs thus far. Hope to be under 170 by that date feel free to PM me if you want to join our FB group.

You won't go wrong with Dr. Illan. I was sleeved 8/31/13 and down 136lbs. After you leave the hospital it turns into a mini vacation. Easiest surgery I've ever had. Gas first day is rough but after that you would never know I had surgery He is such a talented surgeon. -
