It's H C G. It is a hormone pregnant women have. If you take it while dieting, you can SUPPOSEDLY have a 500 calorie per day diet without your body going into starvation mode. Dr. Oz had it on his show back in 2011 and I decided to try it. I lost 28 lbs in a month and it wasn't that hard, and obviously my body did not go into starvation mode. However, I did lose hair several months later, and, of course, I gained the weight back.

Hi All! AnnMarie1957, my surgery is July 18th as well (in Atlanta). I'm very excited. About the letter of medical necessity, I wrote the letter for my doctor, printed it on white paper, and hand delivered it to her office. I asked her to just copy it onto her letterhead, sign it, and return it to me in the enclosed stamped envelope. I included all my conditions, dates for conditions, everythihg. She was NOT helpful or supportive but I had to have that dang letter.

Has anyone cane home the same day as surgery?
Jennifer Gill replied to kelley5989's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Excellent. How did you feel when you got home? You know, day one, day two? Everyone else seems to be in the hospital for days one and two. I'm just wondering how you felt at home. Thanks for reassuring me. -
My PCP just didn't care either way. This thread has got me thinking about changing my PCP. She did not seem to know much about sleeve surgery, but she didn't care either; did not ask one question about it. I've been going to her for eight years just because she is close to my office – how absurd!

Has anyone cane home the same day as surgery?

I was worried about doing this as outpatient surgery, too. However, this thread has reassured me that there are others who have gone home the same day and done well. Thanks! -
7/30 Sleever anyone else?
Jennifer Gill replied to soprofound's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 7/18. I'm excited and scared. I am glad but also a little concerned because I do not have to do a pre-op diet and my surgery is outpatient surgery. Anyone like that? -
I'm having surgery in a couple of weeks (scared, excited ...). I did Hcg a couple of years ago and was on 500 calories a day for 30 days - 3 months later, I started losing huge clumps of hair and it lasted about 2 months. However, it eventually stopped and then grew back. I assume I am one of the people who will lose a bunch of hair, but I will eat (or drink) all my protein and hope for the best - AND I know it will grow back. I am also starting menopause - a lot of people complain about being cold so I am hoping I'll keep warm with hot flashes!

I'm in Canton, GA, and I'm having my surgery July 18th with Dr. Johnson at Atlanta Bariatrics (Emory Johns Creek). I think the whole program is great. I'm new to this site and want to read stories about the first day or two after surgery. Where do I go? Also, almost everyone seems to stay in the hospital for a day or two, and I'm supposed to go home the same day. Did anyone else go home the same day?
