Hi Sigma, I too was diagnosed with H Pylori after my EGD. I went straight to the internet to get more answers. The medication regiment a MUST to follow. It's easier to take the meds 30-45 mis before meals than several hours after. Drinking a full bottle (16oz) of water kept near the bedside with the 1st dosage in the morning is ideal. ***GRAPHIC**** My initial bodily reaction within 30-45 mins of taking the first dosage was stomach cramping & loose stools. It cleans you out for sure... After about the 3rd day, your system adjusts to the medication. My most difficult moments were when my bottom became sore & I still had a week of meds to go. Every movement became painful. Toilette wipes/baby wipes didn't help. (they stung the affected area) Soap (all Soaps, unscented, Ivory & unscented feminine wash) burned, even my washcloth hurt. I bought a pack of micro fiber cloths to use & wiped by bottom with cool water only. Hemmorids & itching became a problem, so I created a home made remedy. (thanks to the internet) I got dressed at 2:30 in the morning & went to WallyWorld. I bought & mixed up Prep H with cooling, Aloe Vera, Vaseline, Corn starch, Butt Paste zinc oxide(baby diaper rash medication), Shea Butter & witch hazel to the consistency of peanut butter. I put this concoction in 2 small containers & took one to work. I never thought I could do it, but I used it every time I went to the bathroom. What a RELIEF it was. Now, one month after completing my meds, I still need to use it from time to time. I never had these issues b4 taking the PrevPac. I got through it...and You can too. This was just a small hurdle & I kept my eye on my prize. (My sleeve will be my reward!) GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!

Yay!!! Let the healing begin! -
I'm so sorry you are going through all of this alone. If I were in the area, I'd surely help you move & be of some support. You have a lot going on. Your body & mind are becoming a little weary. You're on a liquid diet & MOVING. Your body is TIRED & it needs to rest. It's OK that your car is full of stuff. Unpack in a few hours. Your closest support is in the ER & you're missing your mom. {{HUGGGGS}} to you. Breathe and slow down. Rome wasn't built in a day & even GOD rested on the 7th day. :-) Your spirit is still strong & it will get you through. If your home isn't in order before your surgery, IT'S OK. Unpack the essentials, have a comfortable place to rest & recover & be sure to have your liquids and meals handy. Once YOU begin healing, you can then complete your place. TAKE CARE OF YOU so you can then take care of your new place.

{{{{ HUGS }}}} for you. Pity parties are allowed. This is not a race, it's a journey. Remain steadfast & be encouraged. Try to add 1 additional minute more to your walk every other day or so. BE that Little Engine that could. It's easy for me to give advice right now, b/c I'm pre-op. But if/when I get to where you are, come encourage/poke me as well. I'm going to need it.

This was the loooooooongest holiday weekend E-V-E-R!!! I felt like a kid near Christmas, having to walk past the Christmas tree with ALL of those beautifully wrapped presents underneath, with MY name on them..{and not being able to unwrap any until Christmas Day}. I called this morning & scheduled my date..... 7/30/2013... You guys can't see me, but I'm doing the Happy Sleeve Day dance!! Wow & to think....I will be "born again" {not bring disrespectful} for the 3rd time!! Woo hoo!!!! My True Date of Birth 3/16/1964 My Born Again Birthday 1/1/1984 My Sleeve "new beginning" Birthdate 7/30/2013 Can I tell you ......This is somekinda AWESOME!!!! I think Hallmark should create a card for such a beginning...lol..{There's an idea!}

I must admit, I'm a "closet" sleever. No family or friends know what I'm about to do because I choose not to share. i feel ashamed that i cannot lose the weight on my own. I've been trying for years only to regain the loss weight & then some. My mother has been petite & tiny all of her life, so shes never understood my plight. If she knew, oh would I hear it... Yup, even at the age of 49, she still tries to be controlling. Our phone discussions are never about life events initially, the 2nd-4th question from her is, "HOW IS YOUR WEIGHT?". {I cringe at this question} My friends are all shapes & sizes. My smaller friends call WLS a cop out. My overweight and obese friends say they're ok with their weight, but they're always on a "diet". Instead of acceptance & encouragement, I'm sure I would receive critcism & hateration...{Hateration= a form of jealously and negative emotion about your situation or circumstance, b/c individual isn't able to obtain/acheive the same success} The "excuse" I plan to use with all (including coworkers) is, I had my gallbladder removed & I'm now watching what I eat with a high protien & low carb diet with excercise incorporated within. Yes....... this is my story & my truth. MY truth shall set me free. Thanks for stopping by...I now feel a little lighter, less burdened.

I am LOVING the support. Thank you all. Peppermint....Good luck to you on 7/15...Can i say i love the NoneYaBusiness??? {smiling} Tbrown.....I've joined a few support groups in the area in search of "Sleeve Sistas"... for they can Relate, they will Appreciate & they won't HATE.....RAH! SteelersGirl....My point as well...I have a lot of those co-workers...Perhaps I'll throw in a hernia. {It wouldn't hurt} Kaylee....Yay to you!! I'm glad you can share with your mother....now the S-I-L...(whew, that's another story}, good luck to you on the 15th. Keep in touch! NJ8988.....You are a beacon of hope. Educating your friends is definately beneficial. YOU will lead by example! And to answer your question...When I dieted, I chose not to tell that either. The work place is TOXIC. You tell a few that you're on a diet & they become the FOOD POLICE! Don't eat that, you should watch that, Salt isn't good,Watch your sugar! How many cookies did you take?? I thought you were on a diet, How much did you lose? Are you going to "work" that piece of cake off? It NEVER ends.. Yada yada YADA...SHUT THE HELL UP ALREADY!!! I eat my lunch & try not to make it a GRAND discussion. if it's an office celebration, I've learned to take a fork full of a few things...If I really don't choose to eat it, I toss it. No harm done & I don't appear to be anti-social. Walk away from the food....Out of sight, out of mind. Notime...KUDOS to you!! 14 months?? That's GREAT... I will share with my family and friends one day, {but not today}..lol....Continued SUCCESS to you!
