Hello fellow sleevers. My name is Caryn. I struggled with my weight since I was in elementary school. My parents had me in weight loss camp when I was 11 years old and they pushed me to diet and lose ever since. I suffered from poor self image and very low self esteem. After having 5 children I was at my heaviest weight. Previously I did not want to have bariatric surgery because I thought I could do it without it but after so long of doing everything for everyone else, going back and forth, up and down on the scale, and winding up heavier and heavier I decided it was ok for me to give myself a break and a 2nd chance. I had my gastric sleeve on June 25th, 2013 and my life as far as eating is completely different now. There is no choice, I can only eat so much, I don't have the appetite I used to, and I don't crave the foods I used to at all. I am down 31 lbs so far and am extremely happy to have a new me. :)
