Highest weight: 265 Preop: 254 Surgery: 244 Current: 204 Yep, you read that correctly. I have only lost 40 pounds. And that was in the first 3 months. I have gained and lost the same 5 pounds in the last 3 months. I am into clean eating - no packaged food ( other than Designer whey Protein powders) or artificial sweeteners. I am eating healthy, but I know I am eating too often. I can eat about a cup of food at a time, but I am always hungry! Not just head hunger (although I have plenty of that, too). I take 4 Zumba classes a week and zumba at home. I have been doing that for more than a year. I just started a pilates/strength training class and hoping that might help things start moving again, but I am starting to panic. I know the losing window starts closing at one year and I am halfway there. I never expected this to be easy, but I didn't expect it to be so hard and still not lose weight!!! I'm sad and frustrated!

Inability to drink with meals means that I am NOT able to eat with meals. It is against the rules. I know that. I was VERY educated on this whole process. This is not something I jumped into without thought!!! I was not supposed to feel hungry anymore. The part of my stomach that makes ghrelin (that makes me hungry) was supposed to be remived! I guess I was looking for someone out there that has been where I am right now, not perfect losers that *roll eyes* and use words like gynormous when they are talking about me and my issues. I was looking for some kind of helpful support, but this is obviously not the place for that when you're struggling. I now feel a hundred times worse than before I posted. Thanks, Bariatic Pals!

I have to make a better effort there. When I eat less, I get hungrier sooner, so I have been eating more often. I feel like I am back to searching for the right diet. But now I have stinky gas and even worse stinking bowel movements, weird noises coming from my stomach when I eat, inability to guzzle Water or even drink with meals and I can't take ibuprophen for my aching muscles... Thanks for letting me vent there. I am now going back to work on a better attitude. ????

My nut told me not to worry about calories as long as I get in 80 g of Protein. My dr told me to persevere.

I usually eat 6 times a day - generally 200-300 calories each. I always have a bottle of water. I have for years. Before surgery, I easily drank a gallon or more a day. Now, I probably drink about half of that or less.

Sleeved July 12. Starting weight: 254 Surgery Day: 245 Current (8/27): 223 I was feeling like it was too slow. I was relieved to read that this seems pretty normal. We just have to remember it's not a sprint. It is a marathon and we can do this!

Congratulations! Awesome job! -
I love almonds and am really missing them. I'm only 3 weeks out, but wondered when you could start eating them.

Feeling afraid of failure
July12 replied to TheNickelMax's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my surgery July 12th and feeling the same way. I lost 12 lbs on pre-op and 4 lbs since surgery. I am consuming 600-750 calories/day and still hungry. I'm feeling somewhat discouraged.
