Cardiac Concerns...please share
Ms.Yvette replied to newcocoame's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi JessikaB, my ekg's always come up with something abnormal so I expect it once I go for clearance. I have 3 more monthly dr. visits (insurance purposes) before my 2nd appt.with my surgeon to submit the paper work for approval. My question is should I just do the EKG now or should I wait for till I'm closer to my 2nd appt. with the surgeon? When are you scheduled for your surgery? -
day 1 of pre op liquid diet...failed already..
Ms.Yvette replied to Heather Meyer's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I really like the premier shakes as well. You can even try freezing it a lil bit. I did that with the chocolate - yummy. -
Don't worry about those nah sayers. You did this for yourself and the end result is your reward. Can't wait for my surgery.

Haaa who goes on a cruise and comes out weighing less? Congrats and I hope you have an amazing time.

day 1 of pre op liquid diet...failed already..
Ms.Yvette replied to Heather Meyer's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Heather don't knock yourself down. Start over tomorrow and make sure you follow threw. The end results will be your reward. I actually purchased premier protein in chocolate. Today I tried it for lunch and I really was full. For me it was really good. I got it at Walmart. -
Okay I'm super lazy. I'm pre op. So I purchased 2 of those exercise stretch bands and started using that for my arms. I use it watching t.v. or at w5irk. It really does work. Good luck. Sorry you're in so much pain.

Best shoes for walking/ running and best for areobics?
Ms.Yvette replied to Bos123's topic in Fitness & Exercise
For walking I love love love Sketchrr DLites. I have neuropathy anf these are the only sneakers that give me comfort. Running???? My knees aren't having it lol. -
Every center is different. But if you truly want the surgery date then you may want to try the liquid diet. Make sure you're counting calories too because thats what will hinder you not losing the weight. I'm not sure about the protein shakes. Did you get the WLS info pack? In it should be information on protein. If you know for sure that you cannot do the 5 day diet, then at least try it for 3 days and you may want to use a stool softner to get your intestines cleaned out. That may also help you achieve at least 1 pound

I would do the liquid diet for at least 5 days regardless of what he says. Unless it imposes a danger for a condition that you may have. Why does he not want you to do it?

I got a 1 month membership for $29 at Ballys gym which includes 4 sessions with a trainer.

Problems with Primary Care Physician
Ms.Yvette replied to retiredgal60's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Retired Gal, find another Pcp quick. Make sure you're able to see him/her this month because then if you don't, then you'll have an extra month to wait. All they have to do is monitor your weight each month. Tell them your knees hurt and keep a log of your daily meals. Good luck. I switched my doctor too. -
phsyc assesment...im scared now!
Ms.Yvette replied to Mommie4's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow mine was for about 45 minutes I was able to pick my own psychiatrist. Basic questions about me knowing the dangers, if I've ever been depressed or under therapy before. I lied. And passed. Lol. Don't worry about that evaluation. You'll do fine. It's really easy. Keep your eyes on the doctor and never look down when answering questions. Never let them know you're intimidated. -
Ahhh. Well they say it gets better by day 3. You're almost done with day 2. Good luck and hope you're feeling better.
-
Try walking a Lil closer to bed time so you can get tired and then drink some decaf tea to sleep. That way toy don't think about it. I know it's easiest said than done but you can do it. You've come this far.

That's great. It's amazing weekday wet can accomplish. Keep strong and good luck. Can't wait till I'm due for surgery even though I'm scared out of my mind. I have about 4 more months. Ohhh the agony lol. -
I wonder about that 2 week all liquid diet to shrink liver. My doctor only requires 2 days. I think I will try to do the 10 days as well. Good luck.
-
Hi Nikkoal. Im wondering how many days of the liquid diet you have to do? Can you eat jello? If you can then try freezing it to make it into a icy slushy. Maybe that will help. As for the anxiety. Try walking. I used to walk when I'd get a panic attack. Good luck.

Really? Really, youve got to be kidding me!
Ms.Yvette replied to BlueClementine's topic in Rants & Raves
You could have just looked at the positive side of it. She paid you a compliment when she stood you weren't big enough. Lol. But thats exactly why I refuse to tell anyone other than a selected few. Good luck slim lol. -
Thank you Patteee. Didn't mean to put the whole pancreatic cancer thing out there. But I just needed to scream it out LOL. I'm definitely going through the motions. I went to my psychiatrist appt. yesterday for clearance and I MADE SURE I DIDN"T SAY ANYTHING that would hinder this surgery (lol). I will talk to my surgeon on my second appt. in NOV. (SIGHS AND SHRUGS). I just want to get it done and be like I DID IT. WOO HOO. Well you enjoy this weather and your summer off. Oh and don't look for grammatical errors hehehe. Thanks again.
