I dont know if i can do it
Bronco0605 replied to greensleeve's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I will be honest I feel exactly like what the counselor said. I thought I would be so happy to get to solids and it was such a let down. I feel like cooking is such a waste. I can't enjoy eating just a few bites it fills my stomach but it is not satisfying otherwise. I am still trying to adjust to a new normal 3 months out. -
Slow loser requesting exercise review
Bronco0605 replied to Kapoorvilla's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
I started at 282 back in July. may main exercise then was walking. I worked up to walking about 3 miles a day over the summer/fall. I lost 43 pounds before my surgery in November. Now, I can't walk outside because of the weather so I am going to the Y also. I walk a few miles on the treadmill 30- 3.5 miles per hour 30 or 40 minutes, then I ride the stationary bike for about 30 minutes. I usually burn about 1000 calories or more doing that. I also do some strength training /lifting reps on the nautilus machines but I am not sure how to count the calories burnt by those yet. I work out 4-5 days a week. I am still afraid fo the eliptical machine I feel so awkward on there! -
weight loss
Bronco0605 replied to hopeful2 be slim's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had a stall in the first month actually. I lost ten pounds the first week then nothing for two weeks. I am 11 weeks post op now and I have lost 32 pounds. I have lost more weight in the second and third months because I can work out now. I try to work off all my calories 4-5 days a week in the gym. My ticker shows my total weight loss since I began this journey last summer not just post op. -

I used to be a 44dd and I now am wearing a 40F but fit a 38G really well my band size is ALOT smaller. I have lost 73 pounds. I guess my breast have not really gotten any smaller but they are definitely saggier than before. I have already made an appointment with a plastic surgeon for a consultation. I know I am not where I want to be with my weight yet but I want to know what they can do for me when I get there.

It is so weird how different we all are. I am only 2 1/2 months out and I can easily eat 1000 calories a day. But I can work it off in the gym too!

Urgent help needed!
Bronco0605 replied to chanelle102's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Sometimes when you are going through a complicated medical situation it is find to find someone with the exact same condition. I have had lots of experience with complicated medical things. I had a stroke at 28, 3 surgeries for pelvic tumors. Maybe we can offer better support if we know what the main struggle is. What is your biggest concern? Is it facing a pregnancy with the sleeve so early on? Is it the possible birth defects? Is not being prepared for another child? Is it not being able to nourish the baby? -
Post-op Pain Control? IV Tylenol? Not convinced.
Bronco0605 replied to gohelpyourself's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I found it very effective and I am pain sensitive. I had mine in between doses of heavier medications. I also used dissolving tylenol tablets( for kids ) when I needed to drive and could not use the lortab. I liked the Iv Tylenol. -

slow losers I want to hear from you!
Bronco0605 replied to ucjes's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have lost 25 pounds since surgery November 19th. That includes the weight gain from the IV. I have not been 216 pounds or in size 16 pants in ten years! I am not complaining but it does cross my mind that the loss should be faster. I examine myself all the time to see what I can do better or differently. I work out 4-5 days a week for a hour or two . I am trying new things at the gym all the time. I do not feel well if I eat below 800-900 calories, so I stick with that most days. -
How our weightloss effects our kids... Grief
Bronco0605 posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My son is having a hard time. He is 8 . While he is glad that I can do more things with him, he misses his "soft pillow mommy" . When he sees old pictures he gets really sad. Sometimes he says he does not want me to lose all of my softness and that he is scared about that. He says maybe I will look and feel to different. Does anyone have a child who is grieving the loss of their "old FAT mommy". -

Are you able to exercise at all ? It has made so much difference for me. Even just walking regularly can expend a lot of calories. Do you have pedometer? That is another thing that helped me alot. It helped me see how much I was actually walking and how many calories I was burning in a day.

Can i find them all in one (vitamins ?)
Bronco0605 replied to nancy264's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Nope, I looked and looked. I also have a lot of regular medicine and I was not looking forward to adding more. I actually like the Centrum chewable vitamins the best of all the ones I tried. -
Good thoughts! Do you use the stationary bike at all? I just started using it this week and I love it!

Tooth problems before surgery

I have two broken teeth and I decided to wait until after surgery, and after I adjusted back to regular food. I am hopingto get in to the dentist very soon.
