Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement. I am trying to focus on the positive rather than the negative (which is hard when you're in pain) today was a little better but I am very dizzy so I'm sipping down my water as much as I can.

I'm 3 days post-op and I wish I could take it all back! I can't get enough water in or protein so I'm always tired and my left shoulder has some gas trapped in it and there is no comfortable position. Anyone else like me?

Surgery went great but had some gas pain and left shoulder pain from the haiatal hernia. I am home and in bed which was not easy since I'm short and my bed is tall. And I can't tell if I'm hungry or in pain lol

I'm lucky and only have to do 2 days of liquid diet so I start that on Saturday what about you? -
This evening after my daughters soccer practice I decided to take a walk on the beach (yes I'm fortunate to live near the beach) but it was so good for my soul. My surgery is this Monday so my anxiety is pretty high and after spending some time on the beach and just walking I feel like my head has cleared! Just want to encourage anyone having anxiety to get out and walk and if you can walk in a place that you love!!

I'm sure someone out there is in or has been in the same boat as I am now. Paperwork is all submitted my surgery is scheduled for Monday August 12th still haven't been approved. I call my insurance today and it is still under clinical review! Not only do I have anxiety about surgery but now I have the added anxiety of my insurance not approving me yet!
