I concur!!! THIS IS THE BEST GROUP EVER!!!!!!!!!!! I know for a fact I could not have done it without you guys.
-
Chim- I can't believe you haven't had a fill. You are a hero! Wow! Indio- yesterday I felt like I was cheating because I am not supposed to snack, and also I could have made a better choice. But I hear your point, we can eat anything, and that's one of the reasons I chose the band in the first place.
-
I just cheated!!!!!!! OK, for the first time since my fill I was completely starved upon coming home. Like pre-banding starving. And because of that I went for the first thing I saw in front of : chocolate italian cream cake, left over from DH's birthday. And I hadn't had any yet. It was so good.... I chewed a lot and did not have any problems with it. Thank goodness it was the last slice so no more temptation. I was doing so good, but now am hungry again. Next Wednesday cannot come soon enough.

Kathy- CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a great day! And a beautiful family, may God bless you all forever. Thanks for sharing these great news. My daily food: Breakfast: 1 cup SF pudding ( 60 cal) Lunch: 1 hard-bolied egg ( 65 cal) Dinner: -Small salad ( spinach, carrots, artichoves heart, olives, light balsamic vinagreitte dressing) - Some meat - Some starch ( pasta, rice or potatoes) - Sometimes beans or corn I don't know how much meat/starch I eat but it's whatever fits in a saucer. The salad is in a saucer also. I have no idea how many calories I am eating at dinner, therefore I don't know my total for the day. I am, however, getting hungrier and hungrier, sooner and sooner after eating. Thank God I have an appointment next week, it's definitely time for a fill!

Peaches- great job on your weight loss! I understand why you would feel insecure about gaining it back, it's my pattern too. Not with the band. IndioGirl- I am proud of you for keeping eating under control at the party. It isn't easy. Chim- sorry about your PB. At least you know for sure the band is there! Dini- congrats on your weight loss! Ana- I am jealous about the weather. It's full summer here in Texas. Lindaa- What a great NSV! Keep up the fantastic work. Comments like that keep us motivated, don't they? Celeste- glad to hear you had a good trip and even got compliments from the in-laws(not always an easy feat). Welcome back!

Good Luck Indio Girl! I just came back from a friend's birthday at a Mexican restaurant and let me tell you it sucked. I love margaritas! But they are super loaded with calories, so I steered clear. I had to leave early to avoid temptation. HANG IN THERE!
-
Lynette- sorry about the $. It sucks.

What to do with all of our old clothing??
cazulay replied to blahblahblah's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I just took 2 suitcases full to a friend. I hope she won't keep them for very long, I told her to give them away when she is done. -
My dr. also said 3 meals no snack. It's quite hard not to snack, sometimes one just wants to munch on something, you know? I have another fill in 2 weeks and I am glad, as I am getting hungrier and hungrier by the day. I am not eating more because I really want to lose so I am controlling myself, but boy it's hard. I keep telling myself ' hang in there you can do it!" Also coming here really helps with my motivation.

Thanks for the compliments, Brandi! Yes, blouse ( sleevless- sp?) fell off both shoulders, it is satin so that's why I think it happened. It was mortifing but sharing does make it funny. Oh well, live and learn I guess.

Today is Sep. 17th 2007 and I am at 217lbs. Congrats to those so close to goal!

This has been an incredibly busy week. I have been reading the posts but no time to write. Well, on Tuesday it was DH's birthday. We went to this new Italian restaurant, which is wonderful, very romantic yet casual. Anyways, we sat outside on the patio by the fountain and are having a great old time when I reach accross the table to get some more bread ( I ate that plain with no problems BTW) and my blouse slipped off!!!! :embarassed: I didn't realize it was so big, and next thing I know I am standing there with nothing but my bra on! I just wanted to die out of embarassement, I pulled it up quickly and sat down, avoiding eye contact at all costs. Needless to say that blouse has gone bye-bye. I am actually heading to a friend's house now to give her 2 suitcases full of clothes that are too big I have also bought a couple of new pieces, they are XL instead of 2x, and a pair of shorts in regular 16 instead of 22w. OK, the shorts are still tight, but I can see them fitting nicely in a couple of weeks. I love my band!:whoo: I have also been exercising a lot- for me anyhow- Curves 3x/week and walking 4 miles 2x/week. I have lost 42 lbs. so far and couldn't be happier. It sounds like I am bragging but I am just so freaking happy with the whole thing. You all have a great weekend!
-
Jeannie- I have 7 ccs in my 10cc band and I can eat anything. Now, bread can not be plain, it has to be in a sandwich, and then no problem. No problem with meat, rice ( which I have had plain), eggs of any sort, cake... I knew I was a great eater! No wonder I weighted a ton, food just agrees with me.
-
I sure am! I can tell by my clothes and bra. Definitely looser.
-
Marcy- what a romantic hubby!!! I am so jealous, that's so thoughtful. Jeff and I are planning a cruise to Alaska for our tenth anniversary in 2009, I hope it will be as romantic/intimate as yours!

How Many Pounds until People started discussing your weight loss?
cazulay replied to mceni's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am down 39 lbs. and people are commenting on how much weight I am losing. I love it! Sooooooo much better than those stares that say " you poor thing, when are you going to stop putting on so much weight? Do something." I can't wait to lose 39 more pounds and get even more compliments. -
I was going to wait until I was down to 210 to start posting here but I just can't wait, I am so anxious! I am down to 220 this morning- Sep. 8, 2007-, and hope to be in onederland by Thanksgiving.
-
Ribearty- very sorry to hear about your nephew. Wet roads are indeed very dangerous. I can't believe people stole his stuff, that's depicable.
-
Wow! What an inspiring post. I make your words mine.
-
I agree with Anette 100%, you have to come first. Maybe you can get a fellow teacher to cover for you? A friend who knows you are having surgery? I know you want to do everything yourself, at least I do, but it will be really bad timing. And next year you will be so much healthier you will enjoy it that much more!
-
Kathy- congrats on your dh's job and your fill. Amazing what a difference it makes, uh? Chris- onederland means you are under 200 lbs, in the 100 lbs range. Motivation- I went to Brazil this summer and my luggage got delayed getting there several days. I couldn't buy any clothes because they don;t make any my-former- size 20/22. The biggest they had anywhere was a 14/16. So I had to wear the same thing until my luggage arrived, and listen to my mom nagging me about it. I decided I want to be able to buy clothes anywhere, anytime. Also, we're planning a trip to Disney with our nieces this Nov. and the tought of going there having to carry so much fat around was overwhelming. I kew I wouldn't be able to enjoy it as much being so fat. Last but not least, I just want to be healthier and live a long, happy life.

The first fill totally helps. I was having a major case of bandster's hell and now I hardly ever feel any hunger. Fills are the way to go. For me stress is my trigger. But now I have tried to eat while stressed and just couldn't, it was physically painful. Man, I have said this a million times but here it comes again: I LOVE MY BAND! Phyl- I would not go to that restaurant if they paid me to. How rude. Chim- exercise is a good stress reliever, that's probably why you miss it. Horray!

My breathing. I can breath so much better now, not always huffing and puffing like before. I used to be very aware of my 'nasal activities' but now I just do it like normal people and that's the end of it. I love my band! -
OK, food finally got the best of me. I went to the party yesterday and did fine, ate the 2 pieces I had planned on. Today I had another birthday party, it was a dinner, and OMG there was sooooooo much food, of such amazing variet, I ended up eating way more than I had planned on, including a piece of fried chicken pastry, and I had sworn no more fried stuff. I also had 2 scoops of rice and 2 scoops of chicken strogonnof (sp). But at least I did not have any dessert, and there were 6 types to chose from! Let me tell you there was enough food to feed a couple of armies. As my favorite heroin, Scarlett O'Hara, says ' Tomorrow is another day." So I will totally have to watch it.

Ribearty- congratulations! Brag away, it's a big accomplishment! I can't wait to join you. Enjoy!!!
