Hi Ladies, I too find it wonderful to see everybody making progress towards a healthier life. I feel much better already, my energy has gone way up, and I *know* I am going to live longer. I have a lot going on this week, I don't know what I was thinking but I am hosting 3 parties, there is a potluck at school I need to cook for, and a benefit to attend. In addition, I have to find time to celebrate my birthday! I guess running around like crazy will be my exercise. I got my school pictures today and was amazed to see how different they are from last year's. My face has completely changed. I can't tell looking in the mirror, but the pictures scream change. It is weird. Anyways, I will see if I can figure out how to post them later. Have a great week!

Thanks everybody for the congrats. My next goal is onederland by Thanksgiving, but I will be happy if it happens by Xmas. Heck, I will be happy whenever it happens. I never though I would be there again. Dini- NYC is just fabulous. And the food is the greatest you will ever have. I have been there a couple of times, one before and one after 9/11, and both times I stayed at the New Yorker, it's not at all fancy, but in a good location by the Madison Square Garden and not far from the Empire State Building. I booked it on hotwire.com I am jealous, you will have lots of fun! Lindaa- I think you should blend FF milk, canned pumpkin, splenda and pumpkin spice. Of course it won't taste as rich/creamy as the real thing but it might be enough to kill the craving.

I am so happy! I had a goal of losing 50 lbs. by next Thrusday ( my birthday) and mission has been accomplished. I am so happy! And, I bought size 14 pants and size large shirts over the weekend, they are snug but very wearable. But it's bizarre, I don't feel any different, like I know I am skinner because the scale/clothes say so, but I feel just as fat. I need to give time for my head to adjust. Maybe that's why I always gained the weight back before, because my head kept going back to 'fat' mode. Gotta work on that.

My weight loss has slowed way down in the last couple of weeks. Today is Oct. 5th and I am 212.8. Hope to make 199 by Xmas.

I have been MIA too. Busy at work. Really busy at work. My weight loss has slowed down big time, but that's OK this way I won't get flabby. And I am changing my habits and learning how to eat way less and buch healthier too. I was in a big hurry at the beggining but then I decided that I can lose weight, have done that many times before, but I really need a lifestyle chance, to keep it off forever. Kathy- Have fun in PS! Chim- sorry for your loss. Everyone else- just say no to soda! I haven't had it in years and do not miss it one bit.

Indio- after I posted I got hungry again and ate a South Beach cereal bar for 100 cal and 6 ff saltines. I am now satisfied but not full. The only problem is that I have not been able to eat solids before 5 pm!

I had my first embarassing episode at work today. Last night I had some chicken and rice and because it went down fine, I decided to take 1/4 cup leftover to eat at work today. Well, apparently the only time I can eat solids is in the evenings. I was sitting there with a bunch of my co-workers when PB began. I had to run to the bathroom where I stayed for 25 min ( luckly I had enough lunch time left), slimming and feeling like hell. Then I went to my classroom and just before the students walked in I threw up big time in my trash can. I quickly grabbed some Altoids gum and after that felt fine, but let me tell you it wasn't the least bit pleasant. No more solids for me before 6 pm! So now my daily menu looks like this: B- SF hot chocolate- 50 cal L- Light'n'Fit Smmothie- 60 cal Snack- 5 olives- 45 cal D- 1 cup of Protein (meat), veggies and carbs (rice or potatoes)- 400 cal Now that I see it in writing I think I am too tight. I might call the dr. on Monday.

You have lost so much weight already, it's amazing!!! Just hang in there, plateaus are part of the game, you will get over it soon enough. Congratulations!!!:clap2:

Had my 2nd fill today, 1 more cc on my 10cc band, putting me at 8cc total. I wanted more but my dr. said no. I was mad :rose: because I had been eating a lot and still feeling hungry. Like yesterday I had a burrito from Chipotle ( for those who don't know they are monstrous) followed by 6 sugar cookies, all of which I ate with no problems. And then got home and was still hungry so snacked some more :hungry:. Well, after this fill today I get home and grab some crackers. On the 5th cracker I think I am going to die. I started sweating profusely and was totally stuck, my chest hurting like hell. After about 15 minutes I mercifully threw up and now feel a little better, but still feel tight in the throat. So, moral of the story is: if you can eat too much just wait until your next fill!!!! Restriction will come! :whoo:

Thanks Indio! The only it happened is because of the exercise, because I have lost restriction and am eating way more than I was 1 week ago. Oh well, as long as I am losing I guess.

Jackie- Good Luck! One more thing for us bandsters to look forward to- Halloween costumes/party/great fun! Yeah! This keeps getting better and better.

I walked 5 miles in an hour yesterday and today I get in the scale and 2 lbs. are gone! Exercise is totally the way to go. If you haven't started go ahead and do so, you will be glad you did. Kathy- My dr. also told me no protein shakes/add-ins. She said just eat whatever until you are full, after all this is the way skinny people live.

Today is Sep. 23rd and I weighted in at 213.8. It' s getting closer!!!

Not at all. I am always very tight in the morning (great feeling) and get hungrier as the day goes by. When dinner rolls around I feel I could go to an all-u-can-eat buffett and pig out. Of course I don't, and couldn't, but sure feels like it. I think that's pretty normal actually. Well, I hope so anyways!:waytogo:

After teaching the whole day, my feet are no longer killing me! I even have enough energy to hit the gym after dealing with a bunch of little kids all day. My back does not hurt nearly as much either. This is great!!! -
Thanks Nicole! I actually felt good restriction until last weekend, and now I am starving again. Good thing I have another fill scheduled for very soon.
