Riding has nothing to do with how much you weigh.

I have Dr. Fiallo. It's been about 18 months since I got the band, I'm down 98 lbs. I love Dr. Fiallo.

Not drinking before and after your meals does take adjusting. I too would always drink with my meals. Not now, I've pretty much got that under control. Unless I eat something spicy. Then I have to a sip of water. But I don't drink. Remember to stop drinking 30-60 min. before a meal and not to start drinking again until 60 mins. after. It really does make a difference.

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!!

I have a really hard time getting the pasta down. Or stay down. No matter how much I chew chew chew. I seem to get stuck. Does the whole grain or wheat pastas go down easier???

I do use I can't beleive its not butter in a spray. I started using that back when I was trying weight watchers. No calories. But to this day, I use real butter more often than not.

What's up with needing a wireless bra after surgery girls?
babs0101 replied to rulooknatme's topic in The Gals' Room
I too heard that an underwire was recommended after surgery. But I didn't get one. I've never liked them and refuse to wear them. So no underwire for me. I feel it's an individual choice. Not a requirement. -
I went to see the PS on Tuesday for my first consultation. He took pics (yikes!) and said he believes my insurance will cover the cost of a panni and I just pay the difference for a complete TT. Which of course I'm gonna do! Also he has suggested that I have a breast reduction done 3 months after the TT which my insurance will also cover. Holy Moly! I am excited, scared, and God only knows what else. So yesterday I go to my PCP and he will send a letter of recommendation agreeing with the PS. I should know in a few weeks if my insurance will approve the surgery. Keep your fingers crossed for me please!:wink2:

If I have too, I will. Just hoping to get some help from the Ins. company since I pay high rates for the insurance. Hubby said we'd work it out if we need to. Still crossing my fingers, toes, and yes, the eyes! -

OH CRAP! My insurance denied me. I've already started the appeal process so I still have some hope. I really need this TT done! It's depressing. -

I'm still waiting, and waiting. In the meantime, I am reading about everyone's experience. I should be well prepared! -
Sounds to me like Biscuit is just moving some sawdust to the tubes to make her "bedroom". Hamsters tend to sleep in tight spots, curled up, all snuggy. Do you find her sleeping there?

There was a time my family owned a pet shop. We raised our hamsters. What are questions?

I'm 5'8" and now weigh 185lbs. Just 15lbs more and I'd be at the 200 mark AGAIN. I am not fat. Not by a long shot now. I'd say you did put your foot in your mouth. She may have a bit of excess weight, but most people do.

Preparing to go back to desk job
babs0101 replied to kaytiebugs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my surgery on Friday and returned to work on Monday. NO issues! My office is on the second floor and there is no elevator. The stairs did not bother me. In fact I found being able to up and down the stairs (take it easy!) helped with the gas. Although I did not take any meds when I was at the office, in the afternoon I did get sleepy. But hey, I still do! I was fine, you will be too! The only thing I took with me was my liquid lunches and snacks. I still pack my lunch more than not to this day. -
Congrats! You are doing awesome!

I stopped drinking protein shakes as soon as I was able to eat enough protein through mushies. Only use them to replace a meal. The whole meal. This told to me by my dietician.

I called the Drs office to see when they had submitted my info to the insurance......YIKES! They haven't!! I was told it should be submitted by the end of the week, and then it takes about a month to hear from the insurance company! I WANT TO KNOW NOW! Ok, so I'm anxious. -
Almost one year after surgery
babs0101 replied to Nancy88's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Nancy you are not alone. I did have to have some fill removed because of acid reflux. It helps, but in my case, did not solve the problem. I take meds now. That too helps. Go ahead and have some fill removed. It won't take much, but a little goes a long way for comfort! -
I'm hoping that once I get my TT it it will pull and tighten some of the excess skin around mine. Whatcha think?

I suffer with IBS but it is totally the opposit. I have to take Immodium every single day in order to keep it under control. Some days are worst than others.

Are We Ready For A Woman VP?
babs0101 replied to Daisalana's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I don't think Palin's daughter being pregnant should have anything to do with the election. You can't always control your teen. Besides, nobody worried about Bill Clinton's action with Monica. What about the Kennedy scandles. Hell, they keep going on and on and on. I'm sure Palin broke the news about her daughter to be open and not have a skeleton in her closet. I do have to question about the rumor that Obama may not be an american citizen? Not natural born to the USA? I thought that was one of the requirements. Gives you food for thought. -

I'm not concerned about having the surgeries done locally. Baystate is a great hospital and the surgeons were recommended by Fiallo's office. Apparently they do alot of this. Dr. Haddagh (spell) is my ps. I had a check done on him and he has a great reputation. It will be a year from my banding date at least before the TT is done, then 3 months later the breast reduction. I can't wait. I want it all now. Anyone know what the recovery time is for TT and/or Breast reduction? I'm hoping to be back to work (accounting, pushing a pencil) within a week or so. Is it possible?
