I too suffer from this. I had a bit of an unfill done, and an upper GI. No slip thank God. But I still get acid. Not nightly like it was, but I do get it. I go back next week (it's been a few weeks now) to get my fill put back in, but only part of it. I'm eating way too much food and almost anything I want. That is so not good for me.

How long did you have to stay in the hospital if at all. Why three weeks from work? Can it be sooner? I'm hoping to have my TT done soon, just waiting for the insurance approval.

I have had all the same problems, circles, crows feet, discoloration. My Mother-in-Law mentioned in passing once something about Estee Lauder. I didn't pay much attention to it at the time. Then one day I was in the department store and was drawn to the counter. I started asking all kinds of questions. Decided to try some products. I've been using these products for about 4 years now. I am so pleased, I would not give them up for nothing. I use Perfectionist (helps the discoloration and age spots) Night Recovery eye cream. This helps with the dark circles and puffiness. And I also use the Resiliance lift face cream. I love this stuff!

I am in the same boat. I even had some fill taken out, had an upper GI done, and no change. I don't have a slipped band (Thank God) and now I'm not tight enough as I eat too much. I go in 2 weeks to have some of the fill they took out put back in. But I still get reflux. I'm living on Tums. I even take 40mg of Prilosec a day faithfully. Have for years, but now the Tums, Pepsid, Rolaids, and Maalox are my friends. They help, but does not take care of the problem or solve it right away. I suffer for hours at night. I'm now sleeping sitting up, literally, in my bed. I'm tired.

Rod Stewart - Have I told you lately that I love you.

YUP!! LMAO That's me!

I eat it all the time. Just love it! I have not had a problem.

I was just there on Tuesday. From what I was told Dr. Haag would be out a few more weeks yet. Family Leave. I didn't ask anymore questions.

Good Luck! I'll be watching for ya!

Wow, I am surprised at how many are having issues with the staff. I have not had any problems at all. They had all been just great with me. Must be my charm? NOT! No seriously, I have not had any problems. I deal mostly with Cheryl.

Joe, it was definitly me who named you Jersey Boy. I call you that and Neil. Cuz you know I am and always will be a Jersey Girl at heart!!! I too am so looking forward to our wacky weekend. It's gonna be a blast. You and I can sit and pick our food while we watch everyone else gorge themself! LOL Can you say soup??? Just kidding. I will be thinking and praying for you tomorrow. Be sure to give me a shout once you are home and settled. Keep in touch, it helps to have someone to talk to. Hugs to you and Gail.

You look awesome! You certainly made the right choice!

Call the insurance company back and ask who is in network. They could tell you right over the phone.

Honesty... are you up for it?

I to don't think driving the day of surgery is a good idea. Have someone drive you home. If you need something later, make the phone call. As for work, I missed the day of surgery and that was it. I had surgery on Friday, back to work on Monday. I was fine. I also am on the second floor of an old building, no elevator. I had no trouble going up and down the stairs. I do this all day long as I am the accounting/HR/ Personnel/Office Manager of a small manufacturing company. My many hats require me to get my buttocks all over the building. Not a problem. BUT, I did have my surgery on a Friday, I had Saturday and Sunday to add to my recovery before going in on Monday. Diet pills? Nope, won't need them. You have no restiction at first but you are on liquids and healing. Don't worry about that stuff now. Once you begin to get your fills, the restriction will come. Just hang in there. Good luck! -
If you have been on antibiotics you may have a light case of yeast infection. This would explain the smell.

Have your hairdresser make some suggestions based on your face shape. They are taught how to do that in school. She/He will know what style would look fabulous on you.

I feel totally different. I'm with Snap's DH. I wouldn't go. Even Granny was not kind as was stated. She can celebrate her Birthday with her favorites. I see no need to make the event stressful and hurtful to you. Send a birthday card and leave it at that. IMHO

Sounds to me like your fill is just kicking in. You may have irritated your stoma a bit by being sick. Take it easy for another day or so with liquids and mushies. If you have trouble with getting those down, then you need to see your doctor asap.

Hell, I'll even buy the unclaimed cards for 1/2 price!
-
Hey Ocean, don't get down. You probably won't need much time for recovery, I know I didn't. I know everyone is different. I will plan on being at the meeting on the 21st! Congrats, and it will all come together sooner than you think!

I'm 49 years old, 5'8" and started at 270 lbs. I'm now at 182 lbs. Yes, I'd say it can be done. I am so happy with the band. I would not trade it for anything. Hell, I'd give up my kids before giving up the band!! LOL Seriously, being banded has been the best decision I've made for myself in my life. It is my best friend. For now and for always.

I am a manager for a small manufacturing company. I can tell you that each time an employee makes a change it is felt by me because we are small. BUT, you said you work for a large company. You changing positions should not have to drastic of an impact on your boss. I'm sorry to hear she is having so much stress in her personal life, but that is her personal life, you need to tend to yours. Go for it. If she's as great as you say, she will understand.

I can sympathize with those losing their homes through no fault of their own, but those who took on mortgages when they knew they could not afford them, especially these goofy interest loans, then what can they expect? I don't think I, you, or anyone else should be bailing them out either. If the gov. steps in and helps them, where is that money coming from? ME, YOU, OUR TAXES! I have enough to worry about with my own house, family, and living. I can't be carrying the load on my shoulders for everyone else too.

HKeri, stand up for yourself! Insist your doctor and nutri help you. That's what you are paying them to do! Get another fill, and keep getting them until you reach good restriction. The band is only a tool, but it only works if you make it work. Fills and proper restriction is key.

I can go either Monday or Tuesday. Tuesday is the post-op. It doesn't matter which one I go to, but I can only do one. So Ladies/Gents, which is it? Monday or Tuesday?
