Does the heartburn ever go away?

    Thank you all so much!
  3. There have been times that I have forgotten to take my Prevacid and I get the worst heartburn after eating. I'm 12 weeks post op. Does it ever go away?
  4. I see a lot of people talking about stalls etc. I wanted to suggest that perhaps some of you are being too strict with your diet post surgery. Remember that your body needs some fats. I've eaten tuna salad, regular salad dressing, cheese etc and have not hit a stall yet. I'm down 47 from 247 and surgery was june 10th. I just wanted to throw this out there in case you have been too disciplined with your eating. Its good to mix it up so that your body never adjusts to a set amount of calories and fat. Give it a try and see if you break your stall.

    Protein panic attack

You can reduce the sweetness by adding more milk or Water. I do 1 scoop with 8oz water over ice.

    Protein panic attack

Oh, and some of us are finding that we have lactose issues post-op. When you get it, mix with Water first and see what you think. I love it with water, over ice. Let us know how it goes!

    Protein panic attack

Chocolate splendor by unjury. Order it online. Tastes like Nesquick and you can't taste the protein like you can with the nectars. It is fab, promise. It is the only one I can stomach

    How to get pills down?

Ok here is my trick. Put a little applesauce on a spoon. Make a little well in the middle and pour the crushed pill in the well. Cover with a layer of applesauce and swallow all at once. Works like a charm and you won't taste a thing. For the bigger pills, I have to do more than one spoons worth and split it up.

3 weeks out- nausea and can't eat

The good news that I've read is that it will eventually resolve itself. May take several months though.

3 weeks out- nausea and can't eat

I'll first say that I HATE protein anything with a passion. However, the chocolate splendor powder by unjury is phenomenal. Mixed with water and some ice cubes and it is very refreshing and light and I don't mind it whatsoever. It was my saving grace and I'm not even a chocolate fanatic. Www.unjury.com. get off the lactose asap and see if your symptoms resolve. That would be my advice

    Questions for some post opps..

My experience was that there was no way I could take care of my little one during the first week. I was zapped from the anesthesia and pain meds. If you can get someone to stay with you, that would be ideal but everyone is different post-op. Good luck!

3 weeks out- nausea and can't eat

Hi there. We were sleeved on the same day Have you been putting milk in anything you are taking by chance, or are you drinking premade shakes that have milk? I just learned that I have lactose issues which make me terribly nauseous.
  14. Hello everyone! I'm 3-weeks post op and have just learned that I have some lactose intolerance. Put 8oz of skim milk in my protein powder the day I started full-liquids and I was nauseaous for 48-hours. It was horrible. I start mushies next week and was wondering if anyone could help me with suggestions for non-lactose breakfast, lunch, and dinners. Most of the breakfasts I had planned contain lactose, so they are now a no go I'm hoping this this resolves before too long. Right now I'm not wanting to eat anything at all, but I know that I have to start getting some nutrients in. Thank you all for any advice!!!
