Well it's been a month, right down to the day, since my last fill. I, without a doubt, have restriction. Sometime I think it might be to much but that might be because I have to follow the rules....I don't have a choice. I am rarely hungry and a very small amount of food fills me up. I have only lost 5lbs in this last month. I know...that's not bad...actually good but I know it could have been more if i moved more. Yeah, I need to exercise. I go back to the doc on 8/29 for a check up. I think I am going to ask him to look at my band under fluero to make sure it is ok. That's all for now. Later

In september I will have had my band for 4 years. I have not given up on myself or my band. I had GOOD restriction for a while and lost 75lbs. I don't know what happened but I lost the restriction and could eat anything....and waited to long to go back to the doc. Well I went today....hope it does the trick!

4 months since my recommitment fill. I have had 2 more fills since then and have lost 55lbs. Did you hear that 55lbs in 4 months. I am loving this band. I took me a year and a half to get any restriction... then when I did it just took off. It is doing everything it is suposed to do. Restricts how much I can eat, keeps me satisfied longer and it has decreased my appitite. I can't remember if it was suposed to do that but it has... and I love it.:thumbup::cursing::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::smile2:

Oh my gosh. I stepped on the scale this morning and I am down 50 lbs. I was hovering at 45 for so long I thought the scale would never budge and then pow I dropped 5lbs. I don't know how many fills I have had or how many cc's I have(because the doc doesn't tell me) but it really doesn't matter I am for sure at my sweet spot. My last fill was 1.5 weeks ago and wow!!!!:frown:

Chronic fatigue does not lend itself to weight loss. My crazy doc put me on concerta and ....wow... I have energy, I can exercise, I don't sleep all day. I dropped 38 lbs in 2 months. I used to hate my band. I've had it since Sept 2007. I lost 16 lbs at first but gained them back plus 5. I also started taking nicotinic acid and L-arginine before bed. A body builder friend of mine said it helps the body lose more fat than muscle. It also helps support connective tissue....like skin:thumbup:. Maybe it will help with the loosey goosey flappy junk that I know I have in my future. I can hope.

After months of self sabetoge I am finally recommitted. My band has never been filled enough. I have always been able to eat anything. So I had a fill today....under fleuro. My doc said my band was still in perfect position and my pouch was fine....no distension. He was relieved since he hadn't seen my band since last summer and was worried. He gave me a full cc fill so I think that brings me to 8 in my 12cc band. I'm crossing my fingers. This fill feels different than the others....I can feel it. It feels like I have to burp. Could be swelling I guess. water passes fine. I will try a protien shake later. Starting Wed I WILL fallow all the Lap-Band rules.....even if it kills me and I am starving. I'll just tell the doc I starved for 6 weeks. later!

I V infiltration... OUCH!

Happens all the time. Even when IV's are fine. Mine hurt for a month. They can also hurt after certain drugs are put in it undiluted. Compazine is one of them. I know why I have always diluted it.....hurt like heck....and painful and hard for 6 months. You can completly destroy veins....your body will just grow new ones. Not that I think yours is destroyed. But the pain and stuff is not desired but normal...it'll go away. Give it time. Caresa RN ICU -
I am so jealous. Look at all you girls....and boys (do we have any?) go. I was banded 9/27 and have only lost 16 lbs...I'm stuck. But no fill yet. Dr had some scheduling issues. He likes to fill at 4 weeks. So I am scheduled for Monday the 19. I look forward to not being hungry. I can't eat what I used to but too much for having gone through all of this. Congrats everyone!!! Caresa

I had a hysterectomy 2 years ago....no problems for the band. In fact my band MD took my gall bladder 2 months before the band was put in. He said I would only have to wait 1 month but we could get pre-op testing and insurance approval all done for 2 months. Good luck Caresa!

OMG, I know what you mean. My daughter and DW don't get along at all. I feel like I am always in the middle. Then DW blames me for how Amaya treats her. :faint: -
I used my weight watchers for my Dr. supervised diet. I simply had my PCP write a letter stating that she recomends WW, langth of time on WW, weight loss and regain. Then I asked WW to e-mail me all of my on line daily food records and sent them all in. Was approved in a heart beat. United Health Care. Caresa!

I'm a nurse too. When I was in the hospital my nurse was banded too. What kind of nursing do you all do? I do CVICU at a teaching hospital. I just love to boss people around that have MD behind their name. Yeah they might be doctors by name but they cane be so dumb at times.

It's a week and ahalf to my first fill. I know I need it. I am totally open...no restriction. I can eat anything. So I wait patiently.:girl_hug:

I don't think Juli's word of wisdom are discouraging in any way. Sometimes we need that strong voice to snap us back to reality. So I say "thank you". I need to stop being a brat....I want what I want and I want it NOW!!! So I have stopped kicking my feet and got up off the floor. Moving on...... :whoo:Caresa! -
