Thanksgiving Challenge
WildChickie replied to FabMomof4's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I DID IT!!! I am one pound below where I said I would be. Challenge accepted...Challenge conquered! -
I know there are a hundred threads out there regarding this...so im sorry for posting. I had been at a stand still for about 8 days, then the scale moved.....up about a pound! Now im stuck there for another 7 days or so. I am currently on soft solids and have been for a little over a week. I have upped my exercise too. This is so frustrating and difficult. I really dont know what else I can possibly do differently to get myself out of this funk. Any advice is appreciated! Surgery 10/4/13 HW: 217 SW: 203 CW: 185

I am doing all I can and my scale as been the same, give or take about a pound, for about 3 weeks total!!!! Super duper frustrating. not sure what else I can possibly do. Thank goodness I have a dr appointment next week so I can discuss what is going on. Hopefully they will give me full exercise clearance as well. I know what you are going through is 100% normal. good luck! -
Stuck and Frustrated. ..
WildChickie replied to WildChickie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have not done measurements but I can def see the difference in the fit of my clothes for sure. Every day I see my body changing. Dont understand how that can be if the scale isn't moving.... -
How will you celebrate reaching your goal?
WildChickie replied to Sleevie J's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Great ideas everyone! When I hit goal I will Celebrate by getting my 7th tattoo. A quote from the Beatles song, Blackbird. "You were only waiting for this moment to be free" -
Scale hasn't moved more than a pound up or down in the past 3 weeks, but my body has definately changed! I can see it in the fit of my clothes!

I'm one of those people who say they have "only lost" 33lbs. I know it's silly to complain. But I know there is nothing else I can do differently and I have been at the same weight for almost a month. (I'm concerned that I have lost all that I am going to lose) Sleeved on October 4th Start Weight: 217lbs Day of Surgery: 203lbs Current Weight: 184lbs -

Thank you all for your input. I do realize I am not alone with this issue. That doesn't make it any less frustrating! I try not to weigh every day and didnt for about 5 days straight. So damn annoying waiting 5 days to find out you lost zip! I will just keep on keepin on. -

This is putting things into perspective and i cannot wait until my half way mark! How is everyone doing?? Are you at your half way point? how many more pounds until you are there? Happy Halloween all! BTW, i am dress as Rosie the Riveter...ya know, "We Can Do It!"

This Friday will be my 4 week sleeve-aversary...Can it be that i actually feel normal? Every day has been something else, weather its being nauseous, leg pains, stomach pains, dizziness. Today I feel like my old self. It is like night and day between last week and this week. Every new sleever should know that it does in fact get better!!!

Funny mostly preop I met with Dr Ahmad, now I mostly see either Corpi or Agarwala. Everyone seems to be pretty good. Although I called the nurse today, Annamarie? I think...and she never called me back. I didn't really have a bad recovery. I would say it was generally pretty good. Rough couple of first days and then last week I had some really bad dizzy spells (which Dr Agarwala couldn't really explain) But now that I am on purees I am feeling really pretty good!

Hi Chelsi! how was your experience with Dr Ahmad and the office? You are luck you had a fast recovery!

i never thought pureed food would be so good
WildChickie replied to Chelsi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey Chelsi! You and I share a surgeon! I was sleeved on 10/4 and have my next appointment this Thursday. I cannot wait for them to tell me that it's time to puree! When looking at all the information regarding the puree diet, I asked about the no scrambled thing. The nutritionist explained that scrambled eggs used to be on the list but a lot of patients were stating that they were not feeling too hot after having them, so they simply removed them from the list. Just FYI -

My height may play the factor in which procedure I have....=/
WildChickie replied to native_brunette's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 4'10" (4'11" on a good day!) I was sleeved on 10/4. I have never had it mention to me that the surgery may not be possible because I am short. I agree with the others and maybe get a second opinion. best of luck and let us know! -
Weighing In....How Ofter is Too Often?
WildChickie posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My question today: How often do you weigh yourself? I found myself weighing in ever day, no change in the past couple of days (1 week post op). I do not want this to become an unhealthy obsession. Any advice is welcomed! -
Weighing In....How Ofter is Too Often?

Thanks Everyone for your advice!!! I will probably continue to weigh daily or every other day...but will keep in mind to not let it rule my life. Thanks!!! -
Hi All! I am 7 days post surgery. I have noticed a big difference in a lot of ways since my surgery. The one that doesn't fit in is the fact that I now have the nose of a bloodhound. My sense of smell has become so strong. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this odd??? Thanks! Xoxo WildChickie

Hi All, I was sleeved on October 4th. Today is my one week-versary!!! Glad to have those first 48 hours behind me. Went back to work today, lasted an entire 6 hours!!! (much more than I anticipated).........My only concerns are that I am not getting enough protein in. I am trying my very best. Can no longer stomach the shakes. Trying to be creative with it. Cannot wait to get to phase 3 in two weeks! Hope all are doing well!!!
