I just got home from my surgery! I had to be there yesterday at 8:45am. I stayed overnight. It went well. I'm so so so so sore. Hard to lay down and get back up, etc. I'm only allowed to drink 1 tablespoon of water every 15 mins. But because I've followed the rules, I haven't had any nausea, so that's good!!! -
Freaking out!!!! I need some help/advice please!!

I never stopped taking my birth control pills. My surgery is TOMORROW MORNING!!! haha. But, I asked my doctor if I needed to stop taking them (because I had read about people stopping taking them on here) and he said no. I asked why and he said "people only need to stop taking their birth control if they already have known blood problems" or something along those lines. It's doctors preference I guess. -
I agree with everyone else. Hang in there. I promise it'll get better. Once a cheater, always a cheater. You'll find someone much better. He's a horrible person. Cheer up! Stay busy to keep your mind off of things!! Hugs!!

Mallory! Welcome. Wow we have alot in common!! I'm also 21, and going into my senior year of college! I started out as an Elementary Education major, but I'm now Informatics. Love it! And, I still love at home with my parents ha! I have 1 older sister, who is about to move to NY! Oh yeah.. MY SURGERY IS MONDAY!! AUGUST 18!! you're 2 days after me!! we gotta keep in touch!!!!

I am so very sore.....just on liquids this week. Go back to doctors next week, then I can eat something more. I have to sa two in the hospaitl would have been better not one night and def not out the same day. I am so sore and in pain I can't begin to tell you. I just want to sleep and get up and down with out pain. But it's only three days now and I have to deal. I think once I am not in pain then I'll know how I like being banded. Right now it just hurts.

lisafitz -- how was your surgery yesterday??? I Hope it went well!!!!!!!!!! I'm excited to hear from you. Is all that crazy excitement gone hehe? i still have mine. But.. i'm on preop diet, and it blows. I've been nautious since I started it Sunday night. don't know why.

anyone get sick nausea?

I'm on my preop diet. 2 weeks of protein shakes. I started it on Sunday night/Monday. I have been sick to my stomach and nautious ever since. I've emailed my dietician but haven't heard back from her. It seriously hasn't gone away since I started drinking these shakes. it sucks, bad. Not really sure what to do! I don't know if were both nautious for the same reason, but if my dietician gives me any good info, i'll definitely let ya know! are you on regular foods now? -
lisafitz - I know!!! I think about it all of the time! All day. And, I'm so unbelievably busy so it kind of sucks. I spend time researching the lapband instead of doing my homework and stuff :/ I'll have tons to do at night, and I'll end up on here the whole time! ha! I'm working full time currently and taking 3 classes. And selling a lot on ebay. My life is so busy and crazy. haha But, I'm so so excited, and nervous of course. I've never had surgery!

I am!! I am officially done with all of my appointments. I met with the surgeon, dietician, psychologist, and exercise physiologist. I feel much better and really, really positive about the whole time. I've NEVER had surgery though! I'm kinda nervous about that..but the outcome..should be amazing! yay! Let me know if anyone has surgery this day! Or a day close by. We can be anxious/nervous/scared/excited together :wink2::)
