Do u ever feel normal about food?
Mrs.FullerRN replied to Mrs.FullerRN's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well I think I DO eat it almost as much as I think about it, and that is why I'm pushing 300lbs lol -
Almost 14 months out: Trip to the DMV
Mrs.FullerRN replied to t.ski's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Awesome!!! I can't wait to do this. I HATE my dl picture -
I think about 2 things all day, every day. What if I die and my kids don't have a mother? What if I don't die and my kids have a healthy, fun, thin, happy mom? My baby will never even know me. It seems like either way I'm making the wrong decision. I know I'll never lose the weight without the surgery. But I would rather my kids have a fat mom than no mom. I'm scheduled 10/14. Ahhhhh!

I'm scheduled 10/14 and I'm scared to death. Some people tell me it means I'm not ready but most say its totally normal

One thing I have noticed
Mrs.FullerRN replied to Mel1071's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can spot someone in public who has had gastric bypass. They always look tired, anemic, have large calves and very saggy skin on their arms and neck. Maybe I'm nuts but I swear I see it all the time! I'm not bashing anyone who choses bypass, just noting my observations. -
2 year old got the sleeve
Mrs.FullerRN replied to nyorker's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Seems like child abuse to me. -
well well well
Mrs.FullerRN replied to Black Diamond's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is odd to me. After having 75% of your stomach removed to lose weight...you want to eat drive thru fried food? Unless you're at goal, I think your surgeon would faint. -
I'm getting sleeved 10/14 but have an appointment 10/2 with my surgeon because he at my initial consult I was planning on lap band and didn't ask much about the sleeve. My list is below. I would like to know what you asked or what you wish you would have asked before surgery. 1. What role do residents play in my surgery? 2. What size boogee do you use? 3. Do you use the tool that cuts and staples at the same time or do you cut and then staple? 4. Do you suture the sleeve to underlying fascia to prevent stricture, if not why? 5. How do you know if my sleeve is the right size and not too big or too small? What else should I ask??

My surgery is 10/14 and sometimes I dream if awful things like mourning food and being in a lot of pain and not being able to work. But I also dream of amazing things like slipping into a pair of perfect curve hugging jeans or chasing my kids around. I dream of my sleeve almost nightly.

Apple Shaped Ladies: Holla Back!
Mrs.FullerRN replied to LynRN's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I am super apple shaped. I once lost about 50 lbs and I was looking pretty proportionate. My butt was more noticeable because it wasn't competing with back fat as much. I hope it's the same with the sleeve -
Things I will NOT miss about being fat.
Mrs.FullerRN replied to unbesleevable1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I won't miss getting tired out just getting dressed for work. Squat, jump, tuck, suck in, lay down..blah Let alone how tiring my job is at this weight -
Do you feel you settled for your partner because you were fat?
Mrs.FullerRN replied to Disabledaccount's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I do feel like I settled, yes. I am an educated, smart, classy woman with big goals. My husband is not a very motivated man. I love him and he's good to me and our kids. I do think that if I had had more self esteem I would have married someone who wasn't so stagnant. At least he's good looking -
