wow. slimes sounds disgusting!
-
I know exactly how you feel. I am almost 5 weeks out and i have never experienced pain like that before. I finally ended up using a suppository which seemed to help a little bit. I saw my NUT and she suggests that i take benefiber every day - just add it to the water. That seemed to work yesterday, but I also took Colage, which is a stool softner. Good luck to you, that is an aweful thing to experience.

what are the "slimes"?

I am three weeks post op tomorrow and I cannot believe where all this gas is coming from. When I lay down at night, it is unbelieveable. I am only on protein shakes (full liquids) and I have never burbed or passed gas so much in my life. I see my doctor tomorrow and I cant wait to ask him what the heck is going on. I'm hoping once i start eating pureed food maybe the gas at night will stop. My husband says he doesnt hear anything and I thank goodness for that. I am still waiting for this burst of energy everyone talks about, but i havent come across it yet.

makemyownluck and gracensmommie, could not have said it better. i was terrified the night before surgery - cried and almost talked myself out of it. then reality hit me and i had to think of all the reasons why this had to be done. here i am only 12 days post-op and am so glad i did it. truly not hungry, just follow your doctors directions. the first week is definately tough, but today i was able to go out and go to the super market. mind you, i did not buy alot, but it was good to feel that life was sort of getting back to normal. going back to work this Monday and soon should be on pureed foods. patience and faith. Good luck to you and please know that we all area behind you. -

wow that is awesome - congratulations! -
I just got the Isopure Banana Flavored Protein Powder and it is really good. If you mix 1 scoop with 8 oz of skim milk twice a day, it will give you about 65 grams of protein. They do have other flavors, but the banana one is really good.

Congratulations on making your decision. I was sleeved 6 days ago and I am feeling pretty good. I was very nervous before surgery, almost talked myself out of it, but than i calmed down and thought about why i was doing it and how much better my like would be afterwards. I am so glad that I did not back out because of my fear. Good luck to you and wishing you a wonderful recovery. Keep the faith!
