Day 4 - Post Op Thoughts
nervousnelly replied to KCSG's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My 3rd day was the worst. I just wanted my old stomache back..... It does get better. I am two weeks out this Tuesday and feel back to normal.... Although still working on drinking fluids. -

I purchased cases of Protein shakes.... Don't do that- your taste will change! Some things that were very helpful were: liquid Children's Tynol Chewable Gas-x Smart Water. (Don't know why was easier on my tummy) Small Strainer Flushable Wipes Good Luck! Please don't worry too much I fretted and fretted and it really was not a huge deal...

Surgery 8/29/13 questioning things I am feeling
nervousnelly replied to a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can't believe you are able to eat that. I was done the 27th and yesterday I had for the first time ButterNut Squash soups very watered down and strained and after four spoons I had to quit it. You have no tightness or anything? I am working on not thinking about food all the time ~ scary how much I used too When you feel hungry, have a protein shake and than realized you are good for a while no need to eat. Good luck and be careful what you put in your healing pouch... -
Guidelines... Please help
nervousnelly replied to AshWalker's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have the same issue! My Nut and surgeon contradict each other all the time! Even the paperwork they hand out does! You can get sample diets online that I have used as a guide. I am still on liquid and yesterday surgeon said not to worry about fat and carbs for at least 6 weeks! Good luck -

I live in NY and they let me renew my license via mail. My photo is from when I was 16 years old. I am now 38 I hope I can keep it. -
Tomorrow is the big day!
nervousnelly replied to OBXgirl's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I was sleeved Aug. 27. A week ago today, I couldn't sleep a wink the night before and truth be told almost bailed.... It was no where near as bad as I thought. You will be okay! Just remember afterwards walk as soon as you are able to. I think it made a great difference. Today I would not believe I had surgery if it wasn't for the stitches on my tummy and the 12lbs weight loss in a week! Good luck sending positive thoughts! -

When do the gas pains stop?
nervousnelly replied to barbmeow's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 5 days out as well and I have been using the chewable gas x fine from day one. I think they work better than the strips -

Fellow sleeve buddies :'(
nervousnelly replied to liz89's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am thinking of you and sending you hugs. Personally I think you need to be in a better place both emotionally and mentally for this procedure to be successful. You have sooo much on your plate right now, take care of your children first and get them into a good place, so than you can rightly put all the focus on you and your new journey. I was just sleeved but I had years of issues and "junk in my trunk" to take care of first. I had to get to a place of peace and acceptance before I could take this step. Please know I will keep you in my prayers, and wish the best for you. -
