    Naw'lins!

Shrimp, crawfish, gumbo, and there are tons of different bisques out there as well. Go the oysters if you can stomach them...yuck! LoL! Have a great time! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  2. I used to work for the passport agency and this is one of their busiest times. Sometimes takes up to 6 weeks for all to get scanned, approved, printed, then mailed out. Also throw in 4th of July holiday in there. If you didn't expedite it, it will take the normal time. You can check the status of your passport here: http://travel.state.gov/passport/status/status_2567.html Sent from my iPhone using VST

    POST-op lab work ?

I just had my post op labs done on Monday and had 6 different ones that they needed. Just an FYI, though. Ask if you have to fast or not. I assumed that I had to fast for them because they were listed under fasting labs, so I woke up Monday morning, went and got labs done. Girl said, "I have 2 more." Once she said that, my body ran cold and when she was done, all I saw was black spots. I had to sit there for a while, then ended up lying down on their bed. I was never like this before, so I figured when I had "all" of my stomach, it never bothered me. Just wanted to give you a heads up because that was NOT fun at all! Good luck! 6. My nurse in recovery was a complete B! I woke up and took the oxygen mask off my face because I couldn't breathe (I can't breathe with that much air coming at me...probably a mental thing...ha). She said, "Yes you can." I was like, "No I can't!" Then she asked me if I needed some ice chips because I kept clearing my throat, so I said no a few times, then when I asked for them, she said, "It's about time." I almost go off the bed and knocked her out! LoL! Sent from my iPhone using VST

    June surgery dates

No problem! I believe they are in all grocery stores now. Dasani even has some and I saw some Hawaiian Punch ones when I was at Wal-Mart last week. I got the Dasani pink lemonade, which is REALLY good and you would never think it didn't have sugar! The peach tea of Mio is really good and so is the strawberry watermelon. Luckily there are tons of flavors so you can mix it up and not have the same flavor every day! Sent from my iPhone using VST

She said mio, which is the little flavor droplets. Similar to Crystal Light, but it is liquid form instead of powder. They have some pretty tasty flavors. Sent from my iPhone using VST

    The Scale

I understand about the scales. I bought a Biggest Loser scale last year. It is digital and tells you your BMI at the weight and how much calories you consume based on that weight. It also has a memory in it, so you can set yourself as 1 and hit the memory button before you get on and then view the history. I haven't done that yet, but know it is a feature! I am trying not to weigh too frequently so I don't get aggravated that I'm not losing fast. Sent from my iPhone using VST

  13. I'm sure my nurses probably thought I had a pain pill addiction. I was in so much pain I was watching the clock and buzzing for my Lortab! LoL! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  14. For me it was rougher than the sleeve. That could also be because I ended up having pancreatitis as well from a stone wanting to get loose. Hopefully it won't be too rough for you! Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Denied by aetna any advice?

Aetna only needed 2 years of weight history from me. 4 years seems kinda weird. I had no co-morbidities, but my BMI was well over 40 and I was approved. Good luck in getting them to approve this! Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Driving after surgery

Just as long as you are off your pain meds. My incisions weren't anywhere near where my seatbelt hit me, so I was okay. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  18. Gallbladder FEELS like gas pains. I had some horrible ones. Thought it was a gas bubble and it wasn't. It was so painful. Went to ER and had gallstones. Walking helps to get them out and if you have any Lortab lying around, that also helps. They gave that to me for when I had an attack before my surgery. Sent from my iPhone using VST

You're both welcome! Yeah, even if I can only eat 3 crackers, I'll still be happy! Just something about eating dip without something crunchy. LoL! Oh! When I went to get the crab rangoon dip recipe, I also saw this one...I am DEFINITELY gonna try it...Deviled Egg Spread http://thecuttingedgeofordinary.blogspot.ca/2009/09/deviled-egg-spread.html?m=1 I LOVE deviled eggs, so this makes me happy! June sleevers, what are you eating?

I found the recipe on Pinterest. It's really easy and right now since I can't eat any crackers or anything like that yet, I eat a few spoonfuls of it. I can't wait until I can have some whole grain crackers or even melba toast to eat with it! It is SO good! Here is the link to the recipe for it: http://misssammisunshine.blogspot.com/2012/06/crab-rangoon-dip.html?m=1 Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Chicken

I'm not able to have chicken yet, but my NUT wrote on my paper dark meat beside it. I really don't care for dark meat, but I guess I will cross that bridge when I get there. Sent from my iPhone using VST
