    Gallstones and..sad

I know my surgeon also does gallbladder removals and the surgeon I had switched from before him was going to do both at same time. I had mentioned that to my surgeon, and he said it is best to do both separate, so your body can heal from one before going onto another. I was sleeved 6 months to the day of my gallbladder removal and will tell you that, in my experience, was MUCH more worse than getting sleeved! I think if both were done at the same time, it would be quite rough, healing wise at least. Good luck!
  2. I didn't have a drain, but did have a pain pump (referred as qpain pump on here), which ended up falling out the day I left the hospital.

    Hiccups?

I had the same thing. They were painful, too. I still have them, but not as often and I am 2 weeks post op. Some veterans on here say that's the sleeve's way of saying you're full, so I believe them, but I sure was glad when I hiccuped and it wasn't painful!

    June 2013 Sleevers GROUP

I was terrified to try the jell-o. I think I took a couple of sips of chicken broth and sips of some pink lemonade (pretty sure it was Crystal Light or something along the lines of that). I finally opened the jell-o the second go round and had like one bite and didn't eat anymore. I was in and out after surgery (I was sleeved June 17th) and before they let me go home the next day, so I was barely awake enough to even drink/eat. Also, I'm sure they have told you, but make sure you sit up and eat/drink. Middle of the night, mouth was dry, so I took a sip of the pink lemonade and a few seconds later puked it up. My mistake, but I was half asleep, so since then, I have made sure I am sitting up while drinking!
  7. I was sleeved June 17th and planned to return to work on July 15th. I have to process payments and sometimes have to lift mail trays and other stuff, though, so that played a HUGE part in my decision, even though I feel I could go back to work now, but on light duty only. These 4 walls are driving me crazy! LoL!

    Already sleeved JUNE-bees!

I was sleeved June 17th and had my post-op on Tuesday and am down 10lbs since surgery! I started process last June (had to switch WL surgeons then had gallbladder issues) at 319 and weighed in at 264 at post-op, so 45 before surgery and 10 post op for a total of 55!

    On-Q pump

I had the pump as well and mine fell out the day after when I was leaving. I had no pain, though and didn't even know it had fallen out until I saw the "arms" were dangling on the floor!

    I was Sleeved June 19

Hi. New to this, but I also had my sleeve done on the 17th. Have my post op appt with doc today. I am feeling great and am surprised at how easy the recovery has been (for me at least). I had gallbladder surgery back in Dec and it was rough! I am so excited to start this new journey in my life!
