So let me start by saying, I have been a "bigger" guy all my life, never really fitting into the normal catagory, not considered "morbidly obese" but not considered "normal" either. In high school I was one of those guys who could eat ANYTHING and wouldnt pick up an once, or so i thought. Now that i look back it may have had something to do with my activity levels. In high school I played Soccer in the fall bowling in the winter and golf in the spring, aside from that I was involved with student government and a few other culinary clubs. so the fact that i could eat anything and not be affected was most likely because not matter what i eat i was so active i was buring it off. That all changed when i went to college. I attended Baltimore international College which is a culinary college located 9 blocks from the inner harbor in baltimore maryland. Once i attended this school the weight started to pack on. When i started college i checked in around 210 pounds, which is good for being 6'2ish, however by the time i realized it 2 1/2 years later i was 315 and out of control (that was 2006). Putting on that 105 pound was the worse thing i could have done. I ended up peaking out at a weight of 365 pounds back in 2010. I have been fighting the weight ever since i figured out that i would not live to see all my kids (4 of them in total, ranging from 9 to 4) graduate school and grow to be successful, contributing adults if something didnt change. I started eating right and finding ways to get my activity level back, i managed to work my way back down to 321 last year (2012) and remain there today. No amount of deiting or exercise will make that number move. so now here we are walking the slow, unsure road of weight loss surgery. i have to admit this is a very scary thought for me, as i have never had any kind of suregery or operation a day in my life, as a matter of fact i am as healthy as a horse (except for the weight of course), and am seriously worried that losing the weight will reveal more problems then with me carrying the weight. But again considering that i have 4 children that i dont want growing up without there father, the minor concerns of this surgery are noting. So guy here we go, lets take this walk together and before we know it we will be right where we want to be. BIGGEST LOSERS. ha ha ha!
