Anyone in Eastern NC looking for a preop buddy/support?

Hey Denise I'm in Greenville and starting to figure this out. Hope you are well.

All is well just need to pass the swallow test! Feeling no pain or gas but getting hungry and anxious to go home. Any other August 7th sleevers out there? hw-272, preop diet day 1-267, day of surgery- 255

That's cool, I could swallow but couldn't keep it down, that's why I had 2 extra days in the hospital.

Unless there is an August 7th forum already, it would be great to talk with those who were sleeved on the same day... Any takers? hw-272, preop diet day 1-267, day of surgery- 255

No pain or nausea either. Feeling ok, tired but glad to be home and showered. Sipping water until my 4 pm shake. Already feel like some real food. Would love done scrambled eggs with cheese!

Going home tomorrow after a failed swallow test. So glad I passed today and advanced to a shake. 30 minutes to drink 39 to rest 30 minutes for water 30 minutes to rest. My new mantra for a lonnnnng while. Gonna do one more cycle and then off to bed. Ready to pack and go home. hw-272, preop diet day 1-267, day of surgery- 255

Hi. I was sleeved on the 7th and still in the hospital. I failed the swallow test too. My advice is to get sleep, walk as much as possible and use the morphine drip. I have no pain so I avoided it but I was super nauseous. Now, after another day of rest and using the drip I feel tons better. No more nausea at all. The swelling was causing the nausea so by me resting and using pain killers it helped. Best of luck, my next swallow test is tomorrow. hw-272, preop diet day 1-267, day of surgery- 255

Two more days... Got my heating pad, my tums, and sugar free canines today. Thanks for all of the advice and truthfulness of what to expect. I'm looking forward to it but a little nervous. Did anyone have to do a 2 week postoperative shake diet? How was it?

1 week to go.. Not too nervous but anxious to get it done. Pre op diet is ok, lost 5 lbs so far. Anyone on the 7th want to be buddies? hw-272, preop diet day 1-267, surgery August 7!!

Omg... I did the same thing! Wow- glad to know I'm not the only one;(. The Popsicles have helped!

First day of pre op diet almost done. Headache and hungry still. I drank so much crystal light I may start floating. Hoping for a better day tomorrow.
