I just wanted to give a quick review of unjury Protein shakes. I ordered the starter kit and what a surprise! I recieved it carefully wrapped in colorful paper (Orange) and it also contained a thermometer and measuring container. My computer printed receipt also had a hand written quick note thanking me for my order. After unpacking and seeing all this, I was really impressed. Now thats showing appreciation for your customers! I was really hoping I would like their products now! I made a Protein shake today using 1/4 cup ice 2/3 cup skim milk 1/2 banana and the chocolate protein. YUMMMMMM IS ALL I can say! Absolutely loved it?? Not sure yet how exactly i have to use the shakes since I am still going to pre op docs for approvals first, but I plan an having a protein shake in place of Breakfast starting monday. I sort of feel in the dark because other than lose 12 lbs beteewn now and my surgury date (if I am approved) I am not sure what else I should be doing, so I feel like I am floundering a bit. Oh and I am a newbie here. Love reading about all your journies. You all give me hope for a healthier future.

Mixed feelings i need advice
ejsfanatic replied to megpie's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I wish I could say it gets better but.... I am 2,5 mos post op. Before surgery, food was my best friend (how sad!). Now that I can barely get in 600 cals a day, i had times where I felt like something was missing. And it was, no watching TV while stuffing my face to the point of exhaustion. No running (ok waddling) back and forth to the fridge. I plan my meals in the beginning of the week and it has freed up so much time, I now find time to exercise every morning. Even if its only 15 min....i spend time looking for healthy recipes. What I am not doing is feeding my unhappiness. I dont plan any jaunts based on where we can eat, i dont spend alot of money on junk food or midnight raids. I havent lost as much as I think I should have but its almost 50 lbs gone and I feel like a new person. I am more content with myself. It took a while to get here. In the beginning stages I kind of felt lost, but now I am discovering a new me. You will too. Just keep on keeping on!! Good luck -
I went to IN2FITNESS...forget it. They stunk. Bought weights instead and sticking with Jillian

I checked my insurance and most of the discount is waivers of the enrollment fee but no discount for the monthly fee.

I work evenings so I cant go. I wish I could. Was wondering why, if you work at PMC you cant use their facilities. I was thinking of calling Teleo's office and enquiring about that. Some WLS facilities allow their patients to use their gym for a reduced fee.

Yeah no kiddinf, I have been doing Youtube video exercises with jillian Michaels. Not knocking it though, she beat me to death!!

I was sleeved by Teleo on Halloween day. How are you coming along?? Where in the Pokes are you?? I am in Eastburg and down almost 50 lbs. have you started exercising?? I cant seem to find a gym that doesnt cost an arm and a leg!

I have no issue with granola. Surgery date 10/31/13. Give it a try.

I have been looking for a gym to join but no luck so far. They are either way too expensive or too far away. Local gyms where I live are 60 - 100 dollars a month. The closest planet fitness is 40 min away. There is a couple of Curves in my area but I know nothing about them or anyone who is a member. So I have been kickboxing with Jillian Michaels (Youtube) streamed on my TV and tonight is my first Zumba class. Really wanted to join a gym but I am making the best of my situation.

Do you have a crock pot?? You can make great meals that are healthy with that. Google different meats and crockpot and VOILA!

Salmon burgers sound interesting. How do you prepare/serve them with?

I had it twice. Not sure if it was a stitch but the first time the surgeon clipped it, the second time I took care of it -

Just got back from a check up with my surgeon. They are really pleased with the results thus far. HW. 244 SW. 232. (Though I had it at 227) CW. 203 Surgery date was 10/31 -
I made payment arrangements with both the doc and hospital, so there was no need to postpone. Are they not willing to do that with you?

Oh The Holiday Treats....

I know just what you mean. Last couple of days I have wanted foods that n my heart and head I know are no good for me. Cookies cakes etc... Are not really my thing. But due to my work schedule, eating at all hours is. I have wanted to nosh on ANYTHING around midnight and later! This morning I woke up wanting a sausage egg and cheese from Dunkin. Even went so far as to check the nutritional values in MFP. But it is a fighting battle everyday. And so far I am winning. I make things for my son I dont like but know he does. I buy Snacks HE likes, where I used to buy things we could both enjoy. This morning instead of the DD Breakfast sandwich, i had a scrambled egg muffin with turkey sausage, peppers and onions. That filled me up and satisfied me. But it is a SERIOUS conscious effort I have to make. One day at a time and one right decision at a time. Thats the only way I will survive, not only the holidays, but the rest of my life! Congrats on making the right decision. As hard as it is, you should be proud. -

I have the same issue with water so I have been really hitting the ice pops hard. I think that may be my saving grace.
