Had a hang out date with my 9 yr old nephew (Godson). Took him to the Palisades Mall, which I think is the 2nd largest in the nation. We walked really fast up to the 4th level where the theatres are. Took him to see Dispicable me 2. Afterwards we walked around each floor and worked our way back down. From there we went to a japanese Hibachi joint. What a great time I had with him. And since he is OCD, he doesnt allow anyone to put their hand in his popcorn bag, so all I had was a bottle of Water. He's good for my diet! He's near genius level and no it's not bragging. He really is, His IQ is 149. He calculated between the stops and starts we did about 45 min of very brisk walking. He was good for motivation too! When I would slow down, he would take my hand and say 'no pain, no gain!' Good day filled with lots of walking. How did everyone else do??

Don't forget to log your foods. That's the only thing I can add. It's much easier to stick to your diet when you log what you eat. What everyone else said applies as well! Good luck to you -
There is a great tea that can help with that. Drink it before bed and the next morning you will clean your pipes! Called Smooth Move. And yes it is

Any October sleevers?
ejsfanatic replied to beachgirlaz52's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thats awesome, Roo. Have you picked a surgeon? How far in this Journey are you?? I still have 1 3/4 months left on supv weight loss program and in 2 wks will have seen the pulmo and gastro docs. I have already had the psych eval, now I am using an egg timer on my Ipad to control my chewing and bites and documenting everything into MFP. Its more work than I anticipated, but will be so worth it! -

Jeez, Pool, you hit the nail on the head. The hardest part was just actually going out there and trying. Besides the anxiety of just starting out, I was a bit embarrassed for anyone to see my fat rear trying to do it. So you know what I did?? I walked back and forth in my parking lot. Figured if I fell flat on my face, I wouldnt have to far to drag myself into the house!! My goal is to make the walks out to the street by Sat Morn.

I attempted my 15 min and guess what?? I only did 9 minutes. BUT.....it's 9 min more than I did yesterday so I am happy!! Tonight on my break at work, I am going to try another 9 min, then that will be 18 min! YOU CAN DO THIS, BAR, YOU REALLY CAN!!

Hi BarNone I, too am coming from a completely sedentary lifestyle. I am still jumping through the hoops of the pre op phase but have been told I need to lose some weight as part of the approval process. I am on a 90 day managed weight loss and am 33 days into it. I have lost 5 lbs so far, which I consider great, considering before this weight loss plan my eating habits were AWFUL. I would wake at noon, grab a 20 oz coffee, then once at work around 5 pm I would be famished and ready to inhale EVERYTHING. My metabolism was almost non existent. So....with that being said, I need to get off my butt and start exercising. I think walking is the best way for me to start. I would like to start this week sometime. Not sure how much I can walk, but was hoping I can get in a 15 min vigorous walk before work each day, then up it from there depending how I feel. What do you think?.

Wish I could just lay around a lose weight, SERIOUSLY!

If you guys feel uncomfortable speaking about your choices, why do you feel you owe anyone an explanation?? Dont you think they will see the healthy choices, reduced amounts of food you are eating? I am 5'3" tall and weigh 234 lbs (down 5 lbs. from last month and pre- pre- op, still the testing phase). I have told the people I work with and talking about it convinced another co worker to disclose that although she didn't get sleeved, she had a procedure to eliminate ulcers that removed 35% of her stomach resulting in 75 lb. weight loss. The news was received vey well by my co workers, but quite honestly, if it wasn't, I wouldn't care. I am doing this to save my life. What I have done so far hasn't worked and I have already had 2 heart attacks. I doubt GREATLY I would survive a third. -
